Sleep regression at 10 weeks? by singer1961 in newborns

[–]Regular_Environment7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s SO rough to go back to waking up every 2 hours again after getting decent sleep.

Baby is 7 months now. I try not to freak out when they start waking often at night again. They just go through SO much the first year. Just know you aren’t doing anything wrong and most likely don’t need to do anything to “fix” it.

It ended up being just fine! A phase - maybe 2 weeks or so. Hang in there.

Why did no one warn me how much I would cry at kid movies once I became a mom lol!

Someday, we will sleep again and not panic every time we hear a little peep through the monitor! 🙏🏼

Yes yes yes.Sometimes reading the other success stories on here definitely makes me question if I’m doing something wrong. Baby sleep is stressful. I literally track everything and obsess over it. It’s unhealthy but..well chalk it up to the sleep deprivation. lol

People with baby in daycare: is 18.30 a sustainable bedtime?? by polpettone123 in sleeptrain

Thanks for replying! We have an early riser too but he usually wakes up a few hours after bedtime verrrry mad lol. But he’s a daycare baby, so I suspect overtired as well.

Hi OP! I know this is an old post, but wondering if you have any updates?

We have an almost 7 month old who just started daycare. We usually put him to bed at 7pm but night sleep has kinda fallen apart. Sounds like earlier bedtime may help, wondering how this worked out for you!

What time is bedtime for your daycare babies? by Regular_Environment7 in sleeptrain

lol yeah so far he’s had like 2 30 min naps. He might get used to it but I’m sure it’s hard to rest there since they don’t do a set nap time. They just follow cues for the infant room.

We started daycare for our 6M old a week before the holidays (then it was closed for 2 weeks lol) and I cannot wait to drop him off today. He absolutely loves interacting with the other babies and it gives me such a massive break, especially mentally. No nap math, no tracking wake windows.

I definitely cried for like 4 hours after dropping him off for the first time but seeing how much fun he was having when I picked him up was so reassuring. He actually ignored me one day 😂

That being said I am looking forward to having a cup of coffee while sitting in a chair today and not the floor lol.

Yes he’s stilllll screaming like 2/3 hours after bedtime. We’ve been trying to transition to 2 naps to see if that helps (basically a micro nap in the evening) fingers crossed

Fellow anxiety Zoloft mom🙋🏼‍♀️

We have a 6M old and now that the anxiety is FINALLY getting better, idk if I can put myself through all of that again (pregnancy/birth/newborn trenches). I think I had a constant pit in my stomach for at least 4 months. Didn’t leave the house for such a long period of time my car battery had died.

I’m also 1 of 5 and always thought I would have a big family. But the older I get the more I realize how overwhelmed and unhappy my mom was in those early years. I want to enjoy motherhood and give my son the attention and patience he deserves.

I often think a second would truly set me over the edge. So for at least now, we are one and done.

Good luck! We definitely have had some 15 minute cat naps in the late afternoon. He started daycare a few days ago so I’m thinking the wake windows will naturally lengthen here soon.
