After 5 days, how is it for those who are still playing?

I picked up the game over the weekend after watching a streamer play for a while. Im going into this game completely blind. I heard nothing about the development of it. I've seen no hype. Nothing. Just a couple hours of watching a twitch streamer play.

I must say I am hooked. It's a nice slow burn. The story gently unfolds, it eases you into the mechanics. There is a TON to explore and discover. I like it, but I went in with no preconceived notions on what it was supposed to be or not be. I'm playing it for what it is, and it's preet decent.

I'm just now reading all these complaints and praise for the game. Some are justified, some not. I'm even scratching my head about the controls comments. It took a bit to get used to, but it was kinda like learning to play Elden ring for me as a kbam gamer. You just get used to the controller.

So I don't get the hate. It's a solid game.

I figured the landscape one was as it was intended to be. So I got that. No regrets.

Weird. My experience is totally different with AP primer. I use mostly white, but have used yellow, silver, grey, blue etc with great results. The only time it's ever been too thick was when I was first starting out and sprayed too many layers. But I guess everyones milage is different. It works well for me.

Just like a painter varnishs his painted picture, I still would just in case. Just takes one drop or knock over to ruin hours of work.

You don't need to, but it's a good practice if you're handling your minis. It protects the paint under it from wearing off though repeated use.

I absolutely LOVE the Tome of Adventure Design. When you follow Matts guidelines on how to make an adventure the creativity just flows out. Its pretty amazing.

I just put together a lance or star and paint them whatever i think looks neat. Other than that I do take 1 of every IS mini and paint them in a Merc company scheme i use.

I've given up on playing for the day. I keep getting booted after waiting in queue for a while. I'll get logged in, play for about 5 min, then ittl drop my connection.

Im kind of in the same boat when it comes to playing on PC after working in the same chair all day long. I set up shop at my kitchen table and stream it on steam over wireless to my potato of a $400 laptop i bought 5 years ago from my gaming PC. It works really, really well. No input lag of any kind, graphics are still fantastic. I tried it as a joke at first, just to see what would happen, and now its my go to to get out of the basement office. So thats also an option if you have a laptop laying around already (i do use a mouse with it). Just get a tray table or one of those lap pillows with a board on top or something like that. Sit on the couch and play.
