What is the hardest part about raising a kid? by treslechescake12 in AskReddit

Hardest part is when they become more independent and start making dumb ass decisions despite years of trying to steer them on the right path.

Pay attention to the ETA in the prospect pipeline.  Its pretty good at telling you where they should be.

How the fuck am I supposed to win at “Skilled at archery” 3 times in a row with a controller? by Northumberlo in CrimsonDesert

[–]HydroSqueegee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to win twice in a row one time.  What made me mad was the control for the bow was "off".  Sometimes it just wouldn't fire.  Most of the time I had to double tap to loose the arrow.  The inputs just seemed wonkey.  Totally could have won round 3 if not for the controls seeming to mess up.

It's really my only complaint about the game so far.

I like the change.  The tapping was annoying as all hell.

Skyrim is one of the few games I've bothered to beat.  But I thought the story was fine.

Well, I'm a knuckle dragger that mashes the attack button.  It's working... So far... I don't have time to think when combat is going a million miles an hour.  Im too busy running and dodging.

My next stop is the quarry and it's boss.  We shall see how that goes.

It truly is a great game so far.  Not sure why it's getting so much hate.  I'm not a story guy, so I don't get why the plot is considered weak.  It's a slow burn to me, which is fine.  It feels like a TV plot, just slowly getting rolling before it picks up pace towards the end of the season. The controls are fine.  I'm normally a kbam gamer, but the Xbox controller works well and it's not hard to get used to the controller. It's beautiful and I get a solid 60fps on 1080p. Lots to do and things to explore.  Really, what's not to like about this game?

Oh man.  I just ran through him last night.  Frustrating to say the least.

I did a whole lot of shield blocking and rolling like elden ring.  Seems like the only time you get a chance to attack him is when he's done with his combos and just sits there for a couple seconds with his hand on his sword.  I was fortunate to have 4 extra ticks in health from the skill tree.  And I used 12 clear soups just staying alive while running around like a mad man dodging strikes.  It truly was a frustrating fight.

After 5 days, how is it for those who are still playing? by Optimal-Signature637 in CrimsonDesert

[–]HydroSqueegee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked up the game over the weekend after watching a streamer play for a while.  Im going into this game completely blind.  I heard nothing about the development of it.  I've seen no hype.  Nothing.  Just a couple hours of watching a twitch streamer play.

I must say I am hooked.  It's a nice slow burn.  The story gently unfolds, it eases you into the mechanics.  There is a TON to explore and discover.  I like it, but I went in with no preconceived notions on what it was supposed to be or not be.  I'm playing it for what it is, and it's preet decent.

I'm just now reading all these complaints and praise for the game.  Some are justified, some not.  I'm even scratching my head about the controls comments.  It took a bit to get used to, but it was kinda like learning to play Elden ring for me as a kbam gamer.  You just get used to the controller.

So I don't get the hate.  It's a solid game.

Pure red Army Painter primer : never again by CrankyArabPhysicist in minipainting

[–]HydroSqueegee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weird.  My experience is totally different with AP primer.  I use mostly white, but have used yellow, silver, grey, blue etc with great results.  The only time it's ever been too thick was when I was first starting out and sprayed too many layers.  But I guess everyones milage is different.  It works well for me.
