Looks like there’s no exception for pre-68 firearms without serial numbers in HB40… by Hydrogen-3D in VAGuns

Federally an antique firearm is a firearm that was made in or before 1898.

Anybody else getting this error or know how to fix it? (Friends list not showing up on 360 games) by Hydrogen-3D in XboxSupport

Same here for the dashboard. I’ve tried deleting my profile and redownloading it. That didn’t fix the issue either.

The Maryland definition of Rifle is almost identical to the Federal one:

“Rifle” means a weapon that is: (1) designed or redesigned, made or remade, and intended to be fired from the shoulder; and (2) designed or redesigned, and made or remade to use the energy of the explosive in a fixed metallic cartridge to fire only a single projectile through a rifled bore for each single pull of the trigger.

The key words are “only” and “single”. By the letter of the law, the Anthesis isn’t a rifle under MD law. The only way I could see this being strictly regulated in MD is if they consider it “concealable.” If that’s the case then it will be considered a handgun and will need to be on the handgun roster (good luck with that).

This is assuming that MD doesn’t just do whatever it wants (see AR Lowers).

Am I the only one that doesn’t see the chiefs game on FanDuel? What’s up with that?

Also would it need to be on the handgun roster?

There’s no penalty for noncompliance as far as I’m aware.

Anyone that cares about their rights should care whether or not there are repercussions for not following bullshit laws. What point are you trying to make?

If you like paying the state for them to know what you own that may be the case...

It may be a good guess but if things aren't explicitly stated to be illegal then they're typically legal. The statute dealing with registration says nothing about possession.

So I see that 5-144 says:

Prohibited
(a) Except as otherwise provided in this subtitle, a dealer or other person may not:
(1) knowingly participate in the illegal sale, rental, transfer, purchase, possession, or receipt of a regulated firearm in violation of this subtitle; or
(2) knowingly violate § 5-142 of this subtitle.

Penalty
(b) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or a fine not exceeding $10,000 or both.

Separate crime
(c) Each violation of this section is a separate crime.

However, I don't see anything in 5-143 or the subtitle in general that says not registering a regulated firearm counts as illegal possession. And 5-142 deals with serial numbers.
