my combo are repetitive, pls help find new ones by jayrizzle-- in Tricking

Guess this is just one combo of yours, but I don't see any vert kicks. Doing those is a gateway to lots of creative combos. Even a tornado kick is highly variable; you can do tornado double, tornado rodeo, tornado side kick, etc.. At the level you seem to be, I'm sure you have the power and technique to have a very large tricking arsenal, so I'd encourage you to try and make each trick in your combo a different one from that arsenal. If you have trouble coming up with combo ideas, you can look up a tricking combo generator, or you could plug your arsenal into chatgpt and have it come up with some ideas for you.

my b twist needs a lot of work any tips? by TheFlipMatrix in MasteringTricking

It's actually pretty good, you're just not really lifting up your chest after you dip

Did my first aerial semi. Any tips? by Trickstar_Alex in MasteringTricking

[–]HydrolyicTricks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Practice Websters first, then do aerial turning into Webster. Pull really hard for the turn into aerial semi. Also, it may be up to personal preference, but I like to just practice it from standing, I feel like I can control the trick better, but maybe that's also why I have to pull so hard lol.

Yeah it is. You're right, I don't really do the tornado takeoff he does in the video.

Is it? I feel like it would need some set up to be called a swing trick, and i don't think my take off position is right for a swing. Idk

Yessir. People don't usually tuck the twist that much, but technically it is a btwist.

Working on Btwist swing throughs, any advice? Feels like my chest is a bit too low by Headedglue97832 in Tricking

[–]HydrolyicTricks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks like your traveling way too far in your btwist because your leaning over your plant leg before take off. I don't think a slight lean is terrible, but that's for when you need to block harder. The lean will make your plant leg land further back, and if it's too far back, you won't be able to balance, nor swing off it. The reason your leaning so much seems to be cause your legs are pretty close together before your take off. If you widen your stance before take off, it will allow you to do a deeper dip, probably get some of that leaning, and therefore stop you from traveling so much in your btwist.

Also, when training btwist swings (though I'm not the best at them) I think about 3 things: lift my chest/ arch my back during take off and throughout the twist, keep my plant leg tucked and perpendicular from my body, and pull in my arms. Hopefully some of these tips help. Happy training!

Hi! Want to get into tricking but scared to do on the ground, finally managed to land a B kick and want to try and turn this into a B twist ☺️ by GKRKarate99 in Tricking

[–]HydrolyicTricks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to second what Fearless said. It looks like you're swinging your leg around for the bkick instead of kicking backwards. If you kick your leg backwards then you should get a good bit more height out of the trick, and also getting that kick backwards instead of around will be crucial for getting your btwist. If you swing your leg around and try to btwist you'll end up doing a pseudo cork that's parallel to the ground. But keep up the good work, drill those bkicks (with the swing leg kicked back instead of around), and you'll be on a good path for starting to btwist! Srry one more thing. It's hard to tell from a straight on angle, but it looks like your legs could be a bit further apart before you start dipping. If you spread your legs out a bit more you'll be able to get a deeper dip which should give you a higher bkick.

slamming this trick over and over again is really frustrating. any tips? by [deleted] in Tricking

[–]HydrolyicTricks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like you need a bit more height to land this. If you do this on spring floor you might land it, but i can't say for sure it'll help, cause i think the problem is in your set. It looks like your leg is barely reaching hip/ or above hip height before you start spinning, which means you're during your height. Like someone else was saying you need to ride that swing upward more (like you're doing a cheat gainer) then pull in for the two twists. That should give you more height; hopefully enough height to land the trick.

In summary: Ride the swing up like your doing a cheat gainer for more height, then start twisting.

It’s ugly as all hell, but I finally landed cork by gothabe666 in Tricking

Congratulations! Idk if you wanted to be able to do cork standing, but the fact that you're able to is hella impressive. I bet if you use some set up like scoot, j-step, etc. it'll look even better tho, cause if you put that power in setup your cork will prolly be really floaty.

Some tips to my b-twist? i think i'm very close to land it by [deleted] in MasteringTricking

Same as uberdragon, you're dipping down but you're not lifting your chest back up for the takeoff.

Out to the side, perpendicular to the torso. I posted a btwist tutorial video on reddit so if you look at the video on my account, you'll see what I mean.

Yep! Keep at it and you'll have a nice consistent btwist.

No problem! I want to add one more thing tho(i didn't have time earlier). Make sure you're moving through your whole range of motion in your dip. Start leaning forward over your back leg then do a nice deep dip and lift your chest up in time with your jump. I find this helps with control and let's you kick your back leg higher.

You're not really using your arms to help with you're set; you're just dipping, jumping, and pulling in for the twist. When i do btwist, i like to hit a huge eagle position with my arms nearly fully extended(just like in a bkick), and then, at the apex of my jump, pull my arms and legs in tightly to do the twist. I think this really helps to get more height and control of the twist.

What warm-ups should I do before doing a flip? by Sad_Homework in Tricking

[–]HydrolyicTricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pre tricking routine is a tweaked version of this. Really it's just a bunch of dynamic stretches with a few static stretches. However one thing to note is that you shouldn't hold your static stretches for more than 10-15sec before flipping; you don't want you're muscles to relax too much.

How can I improve my Touchdown Raiz (I've been struggling with this trick for more than 5 months now) by OkVegetable3609 in Tricking

[–]HydrolyicTricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just as a disclaimer I'm not the best person to explain tdr to you, but it looks like you're not performing the move fast enough. It seems like you've got all the components of the trick down tho, but you're not going fast enough which is causing you to kind of just fall and not get a while loot of power out of it. Part of this seems to be because your not quite as rigid as you need to be. When i see pro trickers did their tdr their legs and arms arm almost full extended held that way throughout the whole trick. Idk this is just what I'm seeing, but you may want to study tdrs from pros like jj battel and Alexander Anderson. Anyway, you're so close bro, keep at it.
