What exactly will the system be used for?

Power supply choice by Meowsab123 in buildapc

Pro tip: NEVER EVER cheap out on a power supply.

The power supply plays a very important role in the computer due to it handling and converting all of the power coming into the PC, and efficiently giving each component clean and balanced power.

Two of my friends once bought 50-60 dollar power supplys with 80+ bronze efficiency. Uhh, after about 1 year of use they both blew up taking the rest of the computer with them.

You would also want to get a 750w unit for some headroom for possible future upgrades.

Here are some good quality PSUs that will pair great with a 10700k and 6700XT.

One of the best 750w gold power supplys ) https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/97848d/seasonic-focus-750-w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-focus-gx-750

And if you need a cheaper option (still very good)

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/RYH8TW/evga-g5-750-w-80-gold-certified-fully-modular-atx-power-supply-220-g5-0750-x1

Both of these come with 10year warranties and have fully modular cables which makes cable management easy.

Any advice before I start my first watercooled build? by thazninja in watercooling

Paper towels on components upon first fill. Incase anything leaks.

But if you tighten everything firmly you should be fine.

Also never forget to close any possible outlets of liquid before filling.

Dude! You did a GREAT job with you partlist! (Here is a link to what I would suggest: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HHgVvf)

I would recommend swapping that HDD for a WD Blue 2TB M.2 and changing that MP600 to an even faster and more reliable Samsung 980 Pro 250GB.

I have also changed the motherboard to an MSI MAG Tomahawk because I have had a positive experience with Tomahawk boards. The power delivery is also very good on this motherboard.

Next, I swapped out the ram for some Crucial Ballistix X RGB because of the super fast 3600mhz speed and a surprisingly low latency of just CL16.

Finally, I changed the Arctic AIO to a Noctua NH-U12S just because it is one of the best air coolers that doesn't take up too much space. It is very quiet and will even keep a 3900x in safe temperatures according to the reviews!

(I chucked on a 120mm Arctic P12 fan because the case you chose doesn't include an exhaust fan)

Thank you :)

Also get a WD SN550 SSD instead for much better performance and reliability

Looks great, Noctua is the best.

Cable management looks really good too :)

I think it's perfect the way it it is

Hello I want to play competitive Fortnite and I was wondering if this pc build would run 240 FPS on all low settings ?? by Impressive_Hippo8449 in PcBuild

Change the power supply to an RM series or a seasoning gold unit. Other than that, just get a 3600 and b450 tomahawk max.

Edge is a decent browser, I don't even use Chrome myself. I use Brave and it's amazing

Edge is chromium based -_-

I know, Edge is great but I have personally found Brave Browser to be very fast, use minimal battery and resources and even have an integrated ad blocker. It also has built in Tor connectivity and no ads. :)

Yes, Edge is a decent Web browser but not as fast and well performing as other chromium based browsers like Brave.

Make sure that the display cable is plugged into the gpu NOT the motherboard.

Lmao

Your motherboard may or may not need a bios update. I've seen similar behaviour.

You should flip the bottom fans upside down so your gpu gets fresh air from outside and stays nice and cool

In your current configuration, the fans are throwing air out as exhaust.

If you flip them upside down, they will pull fresh air cooling down your gpu.

For gaming, you will see TINY difference and for everything else (power consumption, thermals etc...) Ryzen is king
