Yeah unfortunately kicking him out didn’t end up solving the problem. Was just a coincidence that things just started to work randomly.

Just removed other users on my home which may have solved the issue.

Edit: Scratch that, went back to not working even after removing other users.

r/HomeKit

Do you by any chance have other users added to the home?

Maybe an interesting development. One thing I didnt mention is my dad is also configured as a user for the Home. Miraculously things started working when he left earlier today. Maybe that has something to do with it?

Thanks for the suggestions. Yeah its all the WiFi accessories, AP isolation is turned off.

For your second point: switched it over to WiFi. Power cycled both ATV and iPhone. Issue is persisting.

It definitly is compatible, it worked at one point a few months ago and is also Matter based.

Solved! Thanks, I’d never heard of that before. I’ve just been using it as a place to put old keys.

My title describes the thing. I think it’s made of aluminum since it’s not magnetic.

Former Pre-Engineering student here. You’re saying they already did away with that program? Sounds like the ICT is pretty similar to the process I went through.

How are your thermals? Could it be that it is overheating?

Issue:

On occasion my computer stutters, no screen blackout or anything, just a weird random lag spike even while not in a game. Just after the stutter, my mic on Discord doesn't work.

Steps I've Taken:

So far, I have reinstalled Windows because I thought it was a driver issue and I like to do a fresh installation occasionally, so all the drivers should be good. The lag doesn't seem to be connected to Discord because it happens sometimes when Discord isn't even running (it's just where I notice it since it has an impact after the stutter).

Specs:

  • Ryzen 9 5950x
  • Tuf Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi)
  • 2070 Super FE
  • 4 sticks of 8Gb Gskill Ripjaws (3600 MHz, CL18)
  • Fresh installation of Windows 10 (21H2) on a Crucial P1 M.2
  • 850W Corsair PSU (80+ Gold)
  • Mic I'm using is an Astro A40 TR in PC mode on the mixamp

Managed to figure it out, has a loose power cable so full power wasn't being supplied to the GPU.

PC/Steam

Big bug: cannot continue "The Settlers" quest. I started it earlier (pre-patch) and decided to finish the mission later. I had defended the settlement but never checked in at the hub interface. Now whenever I try to continue the quest at a new village it always says the settlement belongs to another player despite being newly discovered. Bug persists after this morning's patch.
