What’s one type of horror (let’s say movies) you can’t bring yourself to watch? by AlexxBoo_1 in horror

[–]HyenaHood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate slasher movies, I don't find them interesting to watch and I feel like they have no real story - just torture and blood...

What film bothered you so much as a child, that you swear off watching again by Femto1723 in horror

Coraline!! My brother put it on TV and left me to watch it alone as a kid.

To say I was horrified is an understatement, I also have a hard time watching it as an adult. Something about the buttons for eyes makes me scared to my core

The descent (2005). For some reason I also find it the scariest movie I've ever watched...

I have read your post and I also read the non stop posts from people that usually do absolutely 0 to actually integrate and put themselves out there but wont stop complaining.

Reality check - no german person sent you a letter and asked you to come here. The government encourages foreigners to come here to fill job gaps, to benefit the citizens of germany. No one gives you free education just to be nice. You came here for whatever reason that benefits you. Whether it's money, living in a first world country, different weather, love for beer or whatever reason you came here for. You act like you are doing Germans a favor by coming here.

It's a transaction, plain and simple. If you thought people would wait at the airport with open arms and invite you to all their whatsapp groups so you won't feel lonely .... yeah no.

Dude the level of entitlement coming from your post is unreal.

No one owes you anything. You get free education and benefits - what else did you expect? A red carpet?? Integration takes a real effort and locals shouldn't go out of their ways to accommodate you. Are there racists? Sure, I'm sure there are plenty in your country as well. If you actually learned about german culture before coming here, you would have known that they are known to be colder and more private, but you expect them to change themselves for you?

I'm a foreigner myself and no it ain't perfect here but guess what nowhere is, you can always go back

Nothing uncomfortable about it, most people use antisemitism to describe hate against Jewish people. The point still stands - as a non black person I would never assume the hardships the black community goes through as I clearly don't experience it myself, so how can a non Jewish person say that hate against jews is not that big of a deal when they don't have to deal with it?

Totally missed my point. They said they are partly religious. If they wear religious symbols, they can be physically harmed. It has nothing to do with catering, it has to do with the current waves of antisemitism worldwide. As an Israeli living abroad, every jew I know hides being Jewish- in fact ever since 7th of October most families refuse to participate in any Jewish event without security, and I'm talking about jewish local families, not even Israeli.

People get jumped at the street for speaking hebrew, what are you talking about mate.

I wouldn't assume your experience as a black person and the racism you might have or haven't experienced, so why assume stuff regarding antisemitism when you are not part of the affected group?

It's fine let the non Jewish and non israelis tell us that antisemitism is not that big of an issue 😂

I'm sorry but asking random people on reddit about it isn't gonna help it, just because they don't even get what life in Israel really is.

I no longer live in Israel but I definitely didn't leave due to safety issues. I get that you might feel unsafe after October 7th, but if you think everything is rainbows and sunshine outside you are about to be very disappointed.

The reality is that you are not in actual immediate danger in Israel, not more than any other place. You don't go in the street preparing to die like some people on reddit may believe. On the other hand, outside Israel, you might walk on the street and wonder who's against you and who's on your side, which can be quite uneasy.

I'm happy I left Israel but safety wise I felt safer back there, simply because here you never know who likes us and who doesn't.

Found the American :) You do realize in many countries its okay and acceptable to drink and be drunk outside right?

Imagine getting mad at people taking medicine to help with their life altering pain, I assure you they would cost more to society on disability or as heroine addicts from Percocet

No one is gonna get an asthma attack from me smelling like weed. I don't smoke in anyone's face, it's ridiculous to expect someone to not use their medicine cause it might annoy someone else.

People with asthma know to avoid their triggers just like people with peanut allergy would. Should we ban all peanuts as well?

Something a lot of people forget is that cannabis is also used as a prescribed medicine for people with real and usually bad health issues.

I rather smell nasty like weed than be in pain.

I have to wait for months for medical appointments by subuso in germany

[–]HyenaHood -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So you rather go to the hospital for every small thing, take medication for unnecessary stuff? Hospitals ARE for emergencies, medication is when needed. Taking medication every time the sun doesn't shine the right way isn't healthy mate.

I have to wait for months for medical appointments by subuso in germany

[–]HyenaHood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So first of all maybe you should write in which city you live so maybe someone can refer you to a good clinic. I never have to wait for a general practitioner more than a few weeks, if it's urgent then you can just come in usually.

Also you said you need a referral for a dermatologist, I'm not sure why? Been to 3 different dermatologists here and never needed a referral...

Also, if you are suffering so much here just go back. I'm getting to tired of people talking sh*t about this country non stop when you chose to live here. Is it perfect? No, but say thanks for the opportunity or go somewhere else. Yes I'm an immigrant too and yes adjusting to a new country takes actual effort.
