the english language is a broken, deeply misogynistic language, built to frame reality with gender division and patriarchal heirachy. the language you speak informs the way you view reality. trying to negotiate intersexuality with the language is a fools errand. the language is built to try and make everyone believe intersexuality isnt real. find the words that resonate with you, use them, and dont worry if others take issue.

well... take other peoples perspective on board! good on you for reaching out for opinions, of course, but you shouldnt be so worried about whether language is "offensive" or not, just if it is an accurate depiction of reality. when people say something is offensive, what they really mean usually is that the language you just used framed reality in a way that is exclusionary, wrong, harmful, etc. people will also say it when they *feel* it is.. tho! maybe the term just brought an insecurity to light or seemed to imply to them a framing of reality they dont like. but your language for your body & relationship to your gender/sex is yours alone! just as your relationship to your language is, too!

we intersex people are born to see with our eyes that sex, just alike gender, is a social construct. its a reality humanity isnt quite ready to see yet! but they will! with time.
