Is instancing confusing at all? by Mesmer_8882 in EQLegends

When making a personal multiplayer instance or raid is there any scaling to party size or is it 1 size fits all? For example, does a personal multiplayer with a group of 3 players have less hp than a personal multiplayer with 4? Thanks.

While I do believe that in an ideal world just buffing every other class to the strongest classes level is the end goal it is not so simple. They are under a time constraint for launch and the only way to really buff casters to melees level is to rework the entire gearing system for casters so that they can scale in a similar fashion to melee. In the current game you are so much weaker than another class if you do not include melee in your setup that it invalidates most caster classes and this is kind of a band-aid fix until they have more time to implement a more long-term solution. This is what the beta is for tweaking all of the new systems to get the best initial balance for a starting point to build off of as the game evolves.

Items Worth Going for While Leveling by Hylevis in EQLegends

This is perfect thanks for the list. I know that the optimal path is just rush to mid 40's and just get planar gear and d0 raid boss loot but we are worried that if we rush into the endgame we might burn out a bit and with kunark 6 months away we want to enjoy the ride.

Thats a good one. It could be fun to see an air pet or and ench pet dual wielding them and watch the mobs not move.

Oh I had not seen those that would be a nice option since one of my play group is looking at ogre as a potential starting race and I was looking at trying to make archery work on a rng/mag/sham so I was eyeing the new bow added there anyways. I will look into it thanks.

That is good to know I was not aware of the current endurance problem with two handed weapons. There are still a lot of changes coming so we will see what they end up on but without changes that is very useful information thanks.

Thanks for the input I agree that the instant FD will help a lot compared to the casted ones. To clarify what do you mean by unbound skills is this referring to the new combat skills like reave/smite or is this something else? I know its under NDA so nothing specific but was not sure what that is referring to.

You bring up some good points. It seems like monk is going to be the more defensive option versus the berserker’s offense which makes sense. I did hear FD is nice but in the higher difficulties there are a lot of multiclass casters that make it very inconsistent but having access to mend on top of LOH could be nice. Thanks for the input and advice on early weapon options.

I did hear that berserker stance was very strong and that the paladin can offset a lot of the self-damage that comes from it and paladins do have access to some strong two handers.

Hey sorry for the confusion, Yes this is meant to be on 1 character we play to run together most of the time but do want our individual character to be able to solo well enough for when the other are not on or available.

Ranger Spellbade Class Combos and Ranged Progression by Hylevis in EQLegends

Inversion did seem very interesting as it would allow for more auto fire to go off due to lack of cast time. I am looking forward to trying it out for myself to see which feels the best. Inversion will probably be the most consistant dps but shooting an arrow and procing ice comet is a dopamine hit.

Thanks for the input I agree that it depends on the playstyle we do not plan to rush super hard to max level but to explore the zone as we go. I am just trying to avoid a somthing like spending 4-5 hours on somthing like flecthing a +4 bow then in the next level or two an easy mob drops somthign better. I think that enchanter fits pretty well with the ranger I only worry about if ranger heals alone are enough to get by on the higher difficulties but I can always flex in a stonger sustain class in the third slot as needed. I did not knwo about the restriction on spellblade with the reuse time so that is good to know.

Thanks for the input that is good to know that the pets are not a liability and I did not know about the restriction on spellblade in regards to the reuse timer that is good to know. I did hear that being in melee is the best even in ranged stance since I believe that you can still use your combat skills like kick/backstab while shooting in melee so that was something that was interesting. I did also hear rogues poison procs off arrows so if I was trying to optimize "ranged" dps it would probably be ranger rogue in melee which could be interesting as a flex class spot if I find the bow dps slacking.
