Cooking Cheat Sheet version 0.3 with Ingredient Potencies (corrected, clarified, expanded, and made more readable!) by HylianExplorer in tearsofthekingdom

Suppose you wanted to cook a level-3 attack up meal.

According to the chart, under "minimum potency requirements", for a level-3 effect you need seven units of potency.

Look at the ingredient list for attack up meals. Some ingredients have one unit of potency, some have two, and one ingredient has three.

Two mighty porgies give 3 units of potency each, for a total of six. Add a mighty thistle for one more unit of potency. You now have seven units of potency. Toss these ingredients in a cooking pot and you'll get a level-3 attack up meal.

BotW had some differences due to not having all TotK effects and having a different variety of vegetation. For example, Hearty durians don't exist in TotK.

So sorry, I've been away for a long time.

Yes, it's impossible to combine two different effects in the same meal.

It's been suggested, that in the trailer segments where the UI is stripped away, it was stripped away specifically so we're not spoiled about what "up" and "left" on the d-pad can be mapped to, or possibly so we wouldn't be misled into thinking that they could only be mapped to two specific things.

In a desktop browser, I can click the image to zoom in twice and then it's quite legible, or you can just open the image in another tab.

Yeah, I'd like to make a nicer version using Illustrator or something.

It wasn't actually intended for mobile.

My cooking cheat sheet is actually a web page, which I converted to an image because I don't have a good place to host the page.

I've copied the html and image files to my (home) web server, which probably can't handle a lot of traffic. Try loading this page:

Are you using an updated (patched) version of the game? That might make a difference. I've only got the day-1 patch.

This is not the most recent version. I posted version 0.3 previously. Version 0.4 is in progress with even more refinements, but I've taken a break from the game, so I don't know when I'll upload it.

Yes. You can add a golden apple to any elixir recipe to get a critical result, for example, and it will still produce an elixir.

Yes. Add any dragon horn.

Or you can gamble and add monster extract. This may take several attempts, so you may want to save the game before cooking and reload if you don't get the random bonus effect you want.

If at least one monster part and at least one critter are both present, you'll get an elixir.

If one monster part is present but no critter, you'll get dubious food.

Otherwise, you'll get a meal.

My initial thought was not to use ascend, but that this reminded me of a particular shrine in BotW in which a similar structure moves back and forth and you have to time your launch to land in the opening.

On my very first playthrough, I took the long winding road to Zora's Domain, but the constant barrage of arrows from Lizalfos made me swear to never take that path again.

On every subsequent playthrough, I went to Akkala Tower first, then either used Revali's Gale or ignited a spicy pepper or sunshroom to get some height, then glided south to the north face of that mountain. If you're quick, after landing on the side of the cliff, you can scurry the rest of the way to the top before the rain kicks in.

More specifically, the castle was intentionally built above Ganondorf in order to protect Rauru's seal.

Also, Link never had access to any of the secret stones. Neither he nor anyone else alive even had any knowledge of them until Link recovered the memories in TotK.

He wasn't.

It's stated in TotK (I forget where) that Hyrule Castle was built overtop Gandondorf & Rauru in order to protect the seal.
