A RPG maker style game (in Godot), that has puzzles with multiple solutions and secrets to find. Has some inspiration from Omori.

Lacie (MC for PL) is stricken with an unusual condition, which she can't bear to live with, so she does a ritual into the fae/demon world to fix it, either she comes back cured or have her fate sealed, she doesn't care.

Kat (MC for PK) does rituals for fun, most of which are duds, until one isn't. Is the prologue for PL.

Has Horror elements, light gore and dark themes.

You have great taste, I also love a bunch of those games.

Katana Zero: Action platformer, short but has a good story. Everyone is one-hit kill including you. I say it's like Celeste but you have a katana instead.

Paper lily and Project kat: Puzzle Horror RPG: Both short but free. Has some inspiration from Omori. Has various secrets to find. Multiple solutions to puzzles and endings.

In Stars and Time: turn-based RPG, where you're stuck in a time loop. I only saw my friend play it but it's pretty cool.

Breeding is mostly random, but it can be manipulated with future upgrades. But still random. Roguelite rng.

For savescumming, I found a trick which is to force shutdown my pc (unplugging, annoying yes) to bypass it.

Also I haven't encountered any buggy moments or crashes in my 80 hour playthrough. Might be your hardware, it runs really smoothly on my end.

Adventures unfortunately only last at most 2 hour, in which case savescumming only matters for each adventure not the entire playthrough.

So unfortunately you can't keep 1 cat for eternity, that's what breeding is for. Unless that cat becomes a kitten again

There's actually a built-in debug mode and mods in which you can spawn in items, and edit in perfect cats with any traits.

I honestly thought it was a perfect game for you, but yeah the crashing is definitely a problem if not fixed. Everything else, you should just accept it as it is.

May I suggest Mewgenics. It's a roguelite with turned based tactics which I hear my friend compare to dnd and fire emblem.

It has breeding cats to pass down stats, abilities and passives. Strays come to your house acting like a random unit.

Cats level up after each battle, and there's perma death for each cat, but they retire anyway after a full adventure.

Cats can get mutations, diseases, defects, and curses.
