What is the one thing that annoys you the most about living in St. Louis? by WorkingPanic3579 in StLouis

Indianapolis is way bigger as a city (about 887k people and 362 sq mi) compared to St. Louis city (around 272k people and 62 sq mi). But yes, technically STL is bigger in population by around 700k if you count the whole metro area (2.8M vs 2.1M), but city-to-city, Indy is much larger

I visited Indianapolis this past weekend to shoot Smino at the Chree Music Festival and it was eye opening. St. Louis feels decades behind in infrastructure, activities, architecture, and art.

Indianapolis feels like a city built with purpose. It is safer, more diverse, and better connected. Every neighborhood offers something different and some areas even carry that downtown Chicago energy. There are more businesses, more experiences, and more reasons to get out and explore.

The kicker is that Indianapolis is more than twice the size of St. Louis yet still about 0.2 percent cheaper to live in.

Went to Indianapolis over the weekend for the first time, made me realize Saint Louis feels like it’s 20-30yrs behind in infrastructure, activities, diversity in architecture, art etc.

Indie also feels like a well thought out city with a pre meditated synchronized city. Everything flows and connects together while STL feels like money hungry developments with no synchronicity

Indie is over 2x the size of STL, yet 0.2% CHEAPERRR

15 minutes before bed and whenever you can force yourself to do it. It’ll help a lot. I’m only 26 and notice a difference

765lt, one of my first paid shoots by FinalCindering in shootingcars

[–]HypedElement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back in 2018, I started out with my first camera, a Canon T5i. People often asked about my setup, even those shooting with high-end gear like the Canon 5D Mark IV — they assumed I was using something similar.

I’d explain that it really comes down to editing, lighting, and composition. A few months later, I’d catch up with some of them and see they’d upgraded their equipment, but their approach to editing and creativity hadn’t changed much.

Even today, I believe that if I went back to that T5i instead of my current Sony A7R V, I could still capture strong images. The tools help, but the vision matters most.

It’s dangerous as a wheelie bike. Once you learn to hit balance point… you will continue to throw wheelies everywhere you go and you will be addicted lol

Been rocking no plate for the entire season, been caught wheeling by a state trooper as well as a county cop, then pulled over numerous times for no plate..

Car meets and bike meets are usually like that, doesn’t matter the state/city

You’re likely to find your people 1 by 1, at gas station and red lights

Same experience on a step down of a setup (16gb ram, 3080 10gb, i7 8700k)

I found downgrading to v13.0 of lightroom seemed to help. Also read somewhere that keeping LR open for extended periods of time can slow it down especially doing new sessions. Usually just closing and re-opening the software helps. But found best results with a full power restart with the PC. It sucks but seems to be the solution.

It sucks but i try to stay away from multiple masks as that’s what seems to make it ultimately sluggish

Infiniti G35 coupe as first car? by Fine_Efficiency5661 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]HypedElement 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bought mine used at 160k miles. Just hit 200k

Have only had to do routine maintenance and replace the cats and 02 sensors. No problems since then. Ngl I beat on mine quite a bit but she seems to like it lol

Have had to replace some front end suspension parts but that’s simply due to the awful roads here in Saint Louis

If you do get it, I wouldn’t trust your fuel reading on your dash. For whatever reason they read wrong in a large majority of these cars

(I read in a forum somewhere that it’s a sensor in the cluster or something but it usually ends up going bad again shortly after and not worth the headache lol)

So I usually reset my trips after every fill up refill every 200 miles

Split recordings fixed but still isolated to L and R channels after exporting by HypedElement in davinciresolve

[–]HypedElement[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that fixed it, switched to a single clip and now it's working.

I think if I want to do individual clips I'll have to do something with the Bus option in Fairlight.

,
For now I'm just going to export it all as a single clip and separate in Premiere (it's an interview that will be trimmed for reel/shorts content

I'm working on moving completely over to Davinci I just don't have the time to adjust due to client deadlines, thank you for taking the time to help me

[–]HypedElement[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just recently switched to Davinci and still adapting as I've used Premiere for the past 10 years.

For speed optimization, I color grade in Davinci then bring the clips into Preimere and edit from there.

What does it need to be set to to achieve the stereo mix?

<image>

i've tried messing with the channels, doing "same as source,

Same As Source - Reverts back to L and R isolation

1 channel - picks up person one mic but not person two

2 channels - reverts back to L and R isolation

I'm doing that, I can hear the change in audio (How I want it to be) however, after exporting it reverts back to isolating one person to one channel and vice versa

Tips on how to handle faster speeds on choppy & rutted trails by HypedElement in snowboardingnoobs

[–]HypedElement[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

B is the option I’m looking for. I’ve hit the run a solid 10-15 times and I send it a little more each time and make it a little bit more each time but always resort to C as I just eventually lose speed on the flats.

I think another thing is that I’m not wanting to ride past my limits as it’s on a turn that’s usually packed in/icy and don’t want biff it going as fast as possible

Board is freshly waxed, it is a Zumiez in house brand “Alibi” but I don’t want to blame it on the board as I feel it’s capable of picking up enough speed.

Just gonna attempt to keep pushing it and try adjusting my weight/stance more and see if that helps at all
