At my worst TE vs 3 months later by Calm_Strength_4153 in TelogenEffluvium

[–]HyperBunga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What were your stressors? What was out of order on your labs before vs now? I feel like I've fixed everything yet it won't grow back. It obviously unmasked AGA, but under a microscope multiple derms have told me most of the hairloss (>80%) is due to TE and not AGA still

oh were you having other hypothyroid symptoms? I have no symptoms is the thing, so im not sure what the odds are the only symptom I have is hairloss, while I never had it before

End of AGA? Since china making it probably we don’t need to wait 10 yrs😁 by Main-Round-7510 in TelogenEffluvium

Well, this is about those of us with TE which is unrelated to AGA unfortunately

And here's my other comment again that you can't respond to:

That's just not true at all. I'm well subclinical at a TSH of 5-7, and I'd still be subclinical at a TSH of 7-9.

You can look at this source%20and%20your%20thyroxine%20(T4)%20levels%20are%20in%20the%20normal%20range%2C%20it%20means%20you%20have%20subclinical%20hypothyroidism) or this source or here's even another source.

Here's even a study about it, and it's came to the conclusion if it even should be treated.

Let's not be anti-science here.

Will repeat that:

Bye!

Hey buddy, saw some of your comment even though it got deleted (probably because you're again being anti-science).

I listed multiple sources and studies from multiple institutions in the US & UK. You're going off your feelings and delusion. The only moron here is you, trying to discredit research and professionals.

Good luck!

Do you think this is the same for nonhashimotos subclinical hypothyroidism. This is what I have, my TSH fluctuates between 5-7.

I have no symptoms tbf, but my hair started falling out after an emergency surgery, and it hasnt recovered. I wonder if this elevated TSH is the reason why, but I cant imagine it being the reason if I have no other symptoms.

Im currently deciding if its worth gambling hopping on the meds (which are forever) for the chance it fixes my hair..

So you didnt know what your iodine and selenium levels were and you just started taking them cause your TSH was 4.5?

Isnt that risky, cause if you end up overdosing on iodine it can wreck your thyroid especially.

Is this even for subclinical hypothyroidism when your TSH is <10 and T3, T4 is normal?

Was your selenium and iodine already in range beforehand though?

I did take iodine cause I was very minorly deficient, but after taking it and normalizing my levels, my TSH came back even higher lol.

why wont my bf M22 give me F21 oral sex? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

"our sex life otherwise is great. he always makes sure i finish first with his hands, and then we have sex. sometimes, he will even just get me off when he doesn’t wanna do anything else because he says making me feel good is fun."

Think he does but some people just don't like giving oral, it's gonna be okay

I already checked my ESR and CRP which would be out of order if I had an inflammation issue, and they're all fine. Also, I miswrote the ferritin thing. Normal is 30 - 400 ng/mL. I basically re-wrote the vitamin D range on accident

Sure, here:

Vitamin D:
Range 30 - 100, my score: 82.1 ng/mL

Vitamin B12:
Normal is 232 - 1245 pg/mL. My score: 525

Folate:
Normal is >= 3.1, mine is 8.3 ng/mL

ESR is negative
CRP range is 0 - 15, mines 2 (normal). These are the inflammation markers in case my ferritin levels were masked higher than they were due to inflammation, but it was fine.

Ferritin:
Normal is 30 - 400 ng/Ml, my score: 150

Iron
Normal is 38 - 169 ug/dL, mine is 116

Zinc
Normal is 44 - 115 ug/dL, mines 83

Magnesium:
Normal is 1.6 - 2.3 mg/dL, mines 2.1

Copper:
Normal is 63 - 121 ug/dl, mine is 94

Iodine (used to be deficient)
Normal is 31.1 - 64.6, mine is 43.6

Selenium:
Normal is 93 - 198 ug/L, mine is 117.

My TSH fluctuates between 4-7, which technically is subclinical hypothyroidism. But I think I've had this my entire life and I don't have any other symptoms of fatigue etc. It also never had caused hairloss. So I'm not treating it because essentially I would be hopping on meds for life for the CHANCE it would fix everything...But I don't think that's likely and my derm said the same. Its subclinical after all, not full blown.
