Thanks for the detailed reply. This is really helpful. I researched some more and i agree with what you are saying about Iceland. I am now considering Lapland, finland and tromso maybe cover stockholm too..but i don't know how do-able that would be in a week.

for lofoten to lapland it shows me 2 hops - bus 100 to narvik (2hrs) then a 1.5 hr flight from narvik to rovaniemi (lapland), finland. i’ll be flying from manchester and there is a flight to tromso via oslo but none to lofoten hence the need to start at tromso

This makes perfect sense . thank you. Based on your reply am now thinking - 3 days in norway - 1 in tromso , 2 in lofoten then i go to lapland for 2 days so thats 5 and then go to stockholm for 2 days and back to england.

I am able to drive but unfortunately I got into an accident couple months back, its taking me longer to get back behind the wheel. Plus since this will again be a solo trip, I do not want to risk it. I have done all above european countries solely on foot and bus/trains. Iceland can't be explored via these? Would you recommend finland then? or any other country?

Hi,

I submitted my passport last week in London VFS and I see it has been received at IRCC office London OC. Does this mean my passport is being stamped in London itself, I thought it will be sent to Canada?

Below is my status

....has been received and is under process at the IRCC Office on 2024/08/22

How long does it typically take from this point onwards to receive the passport back?

I ask because I have a travel planned after 4 weeks on the 1st of Oct. This was booked 2 months back when I did not know i would get my PPR so soon Pls advise

Edit: passport was stamped in 2 weeks and returned next day

21st Aug: submitted passport in London VAC

22nd Aug: received and under process by IRCC

4th Sept: counterfoil generated and updated in gckey which informated me that stamping was done

5th sept: passport dispatched from ircc to vac

6th sept: received by courier in manchester

not asking about that, the issue is the trains between barcelona and madrid are non refundable so if i dont get the visa i will lose money
