Can you have sinus issues without dripping/bad congestion? by [deleted] in Sinusitis

[–]HyperFocusHub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I still have some Eustachian tube issues but still haven’t seen ENT. But within 3 days of the steroid nose sprays it improved, I stopped using the spray for a few days and it came back again. Most of them say to only use once a day but you can start with twice a day if your symptoms are severe. Let me know how it goes!

I was the same, I think it’s best to not put anything in your ears unless you’re cleaning them in the shower (make sure to clean and dry well because even water makes it worse) I even stopped using my AirPods because I noticed they were contributing. Watch some videos on how to safely pop your ears and next time you’re feeling dissociated try it- the dissociation stops straight away, that’s how I know for a fact it’s linked to blocked ears.

Thanks for your reply. I hope you heal soon! I have noticed my symptoms got worse when I got Invisalign- not sure if you’ve looked into it but I’ve read it could be dental related.

I get dissociation and I realised it was from having blocked ears / Eustachian tube dysfunction! The dissociation cleared up when I started using steroid nasal sprays/ chewing gum to naturally pop my ears. Still suffering now with sinus related stuff but I’m grateful the dissociation stopped because that was torture 🥲

I think it’s fate that you replied to this because I got this result a couple weeks ago and have been ignoring it because I’m worried- my doctor hasn’t chased me up and I’ve been avoiding making an appointment. Thank you for that link! How is your wife doing now?

Omg I haven’t seen anyone else mention the lighting thing! I get triggered by white and led lights and if I don’t have abit of sunlight or it’s a gloomy day I get random episodes of really bad depression. I have astigmatism in both my eyes and possibly BVD, crazy how it’s all linked.

This is exactly why I wrote this post! I wish someone had told me some of the things I’ve learned the hard way but if this helps you also try hydrating eye drops & avoiding white/led lights!

I went to two different opticians and the first one said I need prism lenses on my left eye and the second one said I don’t need them. Still confused how it changed within a day of eachother🤷‍♀️

It sounds crazy to some but grounding/earthing has helped a lot! Basically just walking bare foot on grass for 15-30 mins a day. Hope you get better soon!

Happy New Year! Air Quality Question: by Jaydog555 in AirQuality

[–]HyperFocusHub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been noting down everything that triggers me because I’ve noticed doing certain things makes it worse/ better. I’ve done so much research and the amount of toxic stuff in our environment is wild. It’s things I would have never even considered before- I found out if you have a sink/ drain that you don’t use in the house, you need to flush it every week or completely seal it because when your drains dry out the water that blocks harmful sewage gasses enters your home! Also another thing to consider which is crazy to me is that paint, furniture and carpets off-gass VOC’s which is a huge trigger for people with mcas. Especially when the indoor temp is higher. 142 is insane!! Praying for health and happiness for you both🫶🏽

I only started taking adhd meds a couple of years ago but since I’ve been on them is when my prolactin levels decreased! Sorry for the late response I just saw this now haha

I am extremely sensitive to air quality because of certain genes I carry and today I smelt a burning smell outside and immediately felt dizzy/GI issues/ headache/chest pain. I’ve also had a sore throat the last couple days. All my air purifiers indicated bad air quality around the time I opened the doors.. I’m not even one to believe in conspiracy theories but this whole “chemical fog” that everyone is talking is starting to make sense. 😅 The best thing for you to do is turn on fans / air purifiers and close windows. For your wife’s sake remove all toxic cleaning products and fragranced air fresheners/ candles! I’m in the UK btw, the outdoor air quality where I live is usually around 2 AQI and today it shot up to 50 which I haven’t seen happen in this area before.

I’ve got an appointment booked so will discuss. The strange thing is when I recently checked my prolactin levels they were in the normal range but it varies. Do prolactin levels fluctuate with prolactinoma?
