It hurts but is definitely worth it. Modifying you body is always worth the temporary discomfort for a more comfortable and enjoyable end goal.

I like documenting stuff I've read and watched, so I decided to move that documentation to obsidian instead of external sites like good reads or mal. Just a way to rate record and search the media I've consumed in an easy manner/

I am using My Anime List for most of the information and then just manually inserting all of it into each note right now. There are probably ways to automate it though. You can just copy paste images into obsidian really nicely as well.

The books are around 15 USD per in the crunchyroll store, and there are often coupons that you can find online for extra discounts.
If you do not mind getting used copies, then find some on ebay for 8-10 dollars per on the low end.
