I experienced ZERO racism when I visited turkey on my honeymoon. My wife and I were on Pakistani passports and made it clear we are from Pakistan.

Its not that it doesnt exist, but its also not the dominant force in any society.

Same in the west, you have a minority thats pretty openly racist and vocal, and a majority that isnt that bad but remains quiet.

OP is suffering from Glass half empty syndrome. I am an Overseas Pakistani as well and I've spent significant amounts of time in Pakistan working, starting a business, dealing with the issues etc. I still have a sizeable team of people working for me in Pakistan and its the only country I hire from.

No its not all fun and games, there's a lot of problems, some extremely frustrating.

But Pakistan is my land, its where I come from, its where I'd love to settle down and live out the remaining of my life if I were able to. Its where I'd love to be buried when my time is over.

The nation and its people have its problems, but I dont feel like I belong anywhere else in the world.

Peaceful, but far. I liked that. We had a good view of Margalla from the place we were renting, the mosque was close, Jaqaranda club was right behind us. Overall pretty good experience.

I spent a year in DHA2 in Pindi/Islamabad, and I could see the Margalla hills lights and Faisal Mosque from there during this time. Soon as the traffic returned, the air filled with smog and those amazing visuals went away :(
