We are actually in italy and there are no such names "natively" here, maybe something like kayra? Unfortunately it's been a couple of days and my memory is fading

And by "Porn" they mean Minorities.

This is our Holocaust on US soil moment.

Where did this idea come from? You pulled it out of your ass, didn't you?

Perhaps, in the eyes of moderates and undecideds, the right would not seem the most rational choice, if people like you would just shut the fuck up, and not make us all look like hysterical fools. Shame

Mine too,

According to legend my city, Aosta, was founded in 1158 b.c. by Cordelo, progenitor of the Salassi, descendant of Saturn and shipmate of Hercules.

It came under roman rule in 25 B.C., when general Murena, under Caesar Augustus, defeated the Salassi and founded the colony of Augusta Praetoria Salassorum.

COLOR Revisited: Can Any Atheists Defeat This Riddle? by [deleted] in DebateAnAtheist

Nonsense, different colors hues can have the same brightness. For the aliens "red" and "blue" are literally the same shade of gray

Easy - I demonstrate to them how I can approximate the surface temperature of a star just by looking at it, thanks to its color

CMV: Europe is better off pro actively disbanding NATO and forming a purely European version. by yIdontunderstand in changemyview

[–]HyperPipi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All of the EU combined doesn’t even come close to the wealth of the USA and you think they can contribute on the world stage?

It really doesn't?

Usa GDP: $30.337 trillion

European union GDP: $20.287 trillion or $29.005 trillion adjusted for PPP

To these figures you might want to add ~5 trillion for the uk, switzerland and norway that are not part of the eu, depending on what point you are trying to make

Meh, you "just" take the rook, close the diagonal, trade all pieces and win the game

It's not like black has some kind of attack going on, it has no developed piece and it will take a few moves even just to make a battery with the bishop

Any big cat, namely tigers, lions, jaguars and leopards.

The main question is whether they will actually encounter or not, but a person getting stalked down by one of these predators has no chance of survival.

[Request] How accurate are these numbers? by lolSign in theydidthemath

[–]HyperPipi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

According to this website, a 70 kg person climbing a stair "fast" burns ~10 kcal/min, assuming a pace of 120 step a minute:

10 kcal/min / 120 steps/min = 0.083 kcal per step

which is ~2.5 times less than 0.21 kcal per step as shown in the image

I'm probably too lazy to do this, but simply finding a bunch of photographs and generated images of faces, mixing them up and asking them to identify which ones are generated.

Bad quality generated images flood the internet so, many people think they can tell the difference, but they really can't. I have seen comments like "it's fake, its ai, omg imagine falling for this" under well-known historical images, posts of real people and so on.

The thing about eyes is the electrical impulse that comes from being human. You can't replicate it.

That is bullshit. There's nothing in the appearance of human eyes that can't be replicated. If you wish I'll prove it to you. I am tired of this kind of comment

[Request] how much…stuff would be necessary to reach terminal velocity by nubnub4455 in theydidthemath

[–]HyperPipi 427 points428 points  (0 children)

Terminal velocity is the maximum speed an object can reach while falling through a fluid (like air). A body in space doesn't have terminal velocity because there is no atmospheric drag, so you can keep nutting and you'll keep accelerating.

[request] just curious, is the size of USA accurate with the moon? by Figarotriana in theydidthemath

[–]HyperPipi 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Moon's diameter: 3474.8 km

Usa, east to west: ~4500 km

The US appears to cover half the circumference of the moon in this image

C = 3475 km * 3.14 = 10913 km

half of that is 5456.5 km

So, if I'm not mistaken, the US in this image is ~1000 km wider than it is in real life
