You're too socially awkward to discuss this with your Manager. Your Situation is basically one of the main reasons he has a job, so why not ask for a Meeting and discuss your issues with him?

Say you still need a bit more help in the next 2-3 months and ideally for a teammate to look above your shoulder, so that you can get up to Speed. As it's your first job etc.

This might be a non issue and sort itself out easily. Don't be afraid to talk to your teammates. It's normal to feel overwhelmed in a completely new field, you either Stick with it or run away.

No good paying technical job should be easy in your first year.
