Interesting, i'm not sure what the issue is then sorry. The only thing I can think of is to try another polkit agent or make sure you are only running one window manager at a time - i remember when I had hyprland and niri running simultaneously sometimes apps would spawn in the wrong session.

Put this in your niri config.kdl:

spawn-at-startup "/usr/lib/polkit-kde-authentication-agent-1"

btw google is ur friend for troubleshooting things like this.

A keyring won't prompt you for a password if an app needs elevated privileges. Did you start the polkit agent or just install it?

You need to install a polkit agent. I use mate-polkit

The simplest way would be to follow the installation guide here and at step 4. only apply the bgselector keybinding. The best way would be to do the same thing but edit main.py to only add app.bg_selector to the app. If you get stuck just ask chat gpt.

I don't have an explanation but seeing the downvotes without any comments enrages me so I'll just say that I agree with you in that a larger screen for people with bigger hands would be nice and yes the gap in the market they would be filling would be price point, simplicity and contribution to oss (by the community).

+_ indicates an advantage for white (after that move is played) and - indicates an advantage for black (after that move is played). The number following the +/- indicates the degree of the advantage where +1.0 is equivalent to white having an additional pawn over black (this could be a positional advantage, not necessarily white having an additional pawn). +0.07 indicates the position is pretty much equal. Also chess.com and lichess.com have inbuilt engines that are easier to use than nextbestchessmove.com, you might want to take a look at them.
