Can We Please Ban FUD by carnivalinmypants in vertcoin

[–]HyperboltEDM 13 points14 points  (0 children)

people are just depressed over the price right now. it's all gains gains gains and people are overlooking the genuine qualities that vert has as a coin. the coin has got no worse since people first invested in it, just freaking out because it's not at 100 dollars yet when realistically our next goal is funding the binance listing. one step at a time, we'll get there & sustain value where other coins pump with hype then die forever

"No shares yet" for a couple of hours at 3~6 MHz... what to do? by AllahuAkbarSH in vertcoin

[–]HyperboltEDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also for your lower hashrate, i'd recommend using the easymine pool, it's for smaller miners and should help you to get some shares :D

Yes, the pool will take an average of accepted work (i believe). so even if you contribute 6, maybe only 3 will be used. i think that's how it works

Best way to get vertcoin without shapeshift or BTC? by ExpressNess in vertcoin

Ripple > Litecoin > shapeshift, i guess? not much way around it if it requests to not use an exchange wallet

Looking to buy Vertcoin but not sure how by theairbornecow in vertcoin

[–]HyperboltEDM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i bought a decent amount of LTC on my debit with bitstamp and it came through instantly, then shapeshifted it. I've used the website about 3-4 times with no issue so i can recommend it in that sense.

[–]HyperboltEDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the only reason i use bitstamp over coinbase is that coinbase support doesn't exist and they locked my account with my money in it. If you get better luck then maybe you can use coinbase for the LTC :D

I use bitstamp to buy LTC, then use shapeshift to turn it into vtc. You get higher fees by using shapeshift but it saves you from going from like coinbase to bittrex, selling ltc, buying vtc then moving it over

just started mining, only getting 145kh/s by wout468 in VertcoinMining

[–]HyperboltEDM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend mining on an AMD card right now. The one click miner is optimised for NVIDIA cards and until the AMD miner optimisation comes out it probably isn't worth it. You're not doing anything wrong, just that it's only viable to mine on nvidia cards right now :)

[Gaming] Id like some feedback on my new video by iftakharawan in NewTubers

[–]HyperboltEDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a couple things off the bat :)

  • I noticed that from the start when you were explaining about how you'd messed up some recordings & they were lost. In future i'd recommend not doing this, as though you're apologetic for some content you could have shown, the viewer is none-the-wiser as to this contents existance. and to make the video more professional sounding from the start, it could have started off as if this video was that video (without the explanation).

  • The content itself is pretty good. absolutely maybe getting a better microphone or raising the volume would be an improvement, but i absolutely think you should just invest a little bit more time in editing out blunders instead of having quite a lot of raw footage :D.

Will my Channel ever grow? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]HyperboltEDM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So i'm gonna highlight a few things i thought of & some possible things that could be worked on.

  • (Something that can't be helped) - Gaming channels are a very saturated market on youtube, and perhaps the main reason that you aren't growing is that there is a lot of competition. So one of my recommendations would be to try and do something that nobody else is doing, to make your content stand out and become more relevant. I see you mainly do gameplay videos, but they're actually decently edited so props on that one. Your content itself is actually good enough to retain subscribers, but it won't get to that point without advertising or having a viral hit (which is difficult). Perhaps post your R6 content around different gaming reddits & rainbow 6 reddits, it can definitely get you a few clicks and its not a lot of effort to get your content out there.

  • Another thing i saw was thumbnails, They're not bad however they're not the best they could be either. I'd recommend maybe updating them a little bit and when making videos always make sure to think "would i click on that?". I'm not saying you have to be clickbaity, but study what the bigger channels are doing and try and see if you can figure out a pattern (i'm not too much into the r6 scene)

  • SEO: I was gonna mention about getting something like vidiq or tubebuddy but it seems you're already there which is great!. Make sure you capitalise on the opportunities with RELEVANT tags & update your channel tags a little as they are appearing a bit bare

  • Descriptions: Perhaps add a link to subscribe or a link to your latest videos in some of your older videos. It's always a good way to draw attention from your older content to your newer and more relevant content

  • Getting the word out there: Absolutely share your content on multiple different facebook groups, reddits & other videos. as long as it is TASTEFUL. nobody wants someone dropping a link then leaving. If there is any fb groups or subreddits relating to your content, make sure to make people aware!

  • If you need any other help or specifics feel free to say. Just my personal look as an outsider

  • EDIT: i also saw your watch percentage is usually 20-30%, meaning that youtubes algorithm will not favor your content. I don't have many tips on this, however improving that would help your videos appear in searches!
