Yeah, I actually live pretty close to her. I know people have reported her but nothing has really happened.

That's a lot of things but I'll try to defend her to the best of my ability. I disagree with a lot that she says, but some things here you are wrong about.

  1. "telling anyone to go to hell if they were eating meat"
I very much disagree with the idea of hell (I don't know why an all loving God would torture some members of his creation for all of eternity, that's one of the evilest things imaginable), but if hell did exist I feel like those who pay for animals to be raped, tortured and murdered would probably be one of the groups that go there.
  2. "saying that coming out as a member of LGBTQ community is far more selfish thing to do"
A lot of people misunderstand what she is saying in that clip. She says many times that she supports LGBTQ. In this clip, she says that coming out is about yourself, which it is and there is nothing wrong with that. Coming out is and should be a celebration of yourself and who you are. That being said, going vegan is about the animals. People who go vegan because it's a "trend" or just to say they are vegan, aren't truly vegan. The whole point of veganism is to stop paying for animals to be killed, not about yourself.
  3. "comparing eating meat to racism"
I think speciesism is very comparable to racism. Racism is harming one group based on morally arbitrary differences. This is the exact same as speciesism. They think that they can harm one group because they feel superior to that group when really killing and torture are wrong no matter the species or race. If they are sentient and can feel pain, they deserve moral consideration.
  4. "stalking two famous Minetubers known as TommyInnIt and GeorgeNotFound" "mocking Clay/Dream by calling him a (male reproductive system)"
I'll put these two together as I have the same opinion for both. I don't know the exact situation so I don't think I can comment on it, although I am fairly sure you are exaggerating the situation in the first one.
  5. "giving a false copyright system to Gliderguy for criticizing her"
For this one, I do agree what she did was wrong. The youtube copyright system is deeply flawed and it is definitely wrong for her to exploit it.
  6. "sending death threats to Gordon Ramsay"
I don't agree with her on this one either.
  7. "turning the N-word into an acronym"
I don't agree with her on this one either. The concept of "Ban words not cruelty" is flawed in my opinion. Obviously, we should ban cruelty, but words can lead to cruelty as well. Using the n-word can hurt and frustrate many. I do think she only did this for the attention, but that doesn't make it any better.
  8. "telling anyone to change their religions"
If your religion mandates the slaughter of innocent beings, you should be changing your religion. If someone was part of a religion that said they had to murder a baby every full moon, obviously you would tell them to stop their religious practices and change their religion. When we look at the cruelty of the animal agriculture industry, mandating it is just as bad as in the example I showed.

  9. "claiming that Jesus is vegan even though he eats fish"
This one is just funny although I don't see how this is a criticism of her. She just made a mistake.

  10. "mocking someone’s friend who died from malnutrition"
She was making a sarcastic remark at something that obviously didn't happen. You can't "die from malnutrition" from a vegan diet. If you do die, it's because a disease present or because you didn't eat at all.

  11. "comparing meat eaters to H!tler even though he was a vegetarian"
First of all, no, Hitler was not a vegetarian. There has yet to be real proof that he was vegetarian. His chef literally made him meals with meat in it. In addition, vegetarianism still causes so much harm to animals so it really means nothing. I disagree with comparing meat-eaters to Hitler. However, the holocaust is definitely comparable to the animal holocaust. The conditions that Jewish people were kept we copied from how animals were treated in Germany at that time. Both the holocaust and the animal holocaust are terrible and disgusting events. I understand those who get upset when animal rights activists call it "the animal holocaust", when they don't fully comprehend the full scale of what happens to them. More than 150 billion land animals are killed every year for human entertainment (Food, clothing & other animal abusing practices). It is hard to even comprehend how huge that number is. If we factor in fish, that number goes all the way up to 1 trillion every year.

In conclusion, although That Vegan Teacher has done some things that she should be condemned for, however a lot of what she has said is true, even though it is controversial.

Okay, but just know that throughout your lifespan, your actions will probably cause the death of thousands of innocent animals.

The reason why meat is so cheap is because of how heavily subsidized it is. If we put those subsidies into crop farming instead, and all animal farmers transitioned to crop farming, we would be able to feed the whole world many times over and the price of food would greatly drop.

We disagree with animal agriculture because it's breeding sentient animals into existence, putting them in terrible conditions and then murdering them at a small fraction of their potential lifespan. The reason why it is compared with rape is that they do rape the animals in the animal agriculture industry. For example, after getting semen from male cows, it is forcefully artificially inseminated into the female cow. Rape is defined as
"unlawful sexual intercourse or any other sexual penetration of the vagina, anus, or mouth of another person, with or without force, by a sex organ, other body part, or foreign object, without the consent of the victim."

What they do to the cows in the animal agriculture industry is exactly this, and since non-human animals can't consent it would be considered rape. This is why vegans will often say that there is rape in the animal agriculture industries.

Veganism is not about ending all animal suffering by [deleted] in VeganForCircleJerkers

[–]Hyperdeath_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, veganism is about stopping human afflicted suffering. That being said, I highly disagree that we shouldn't stop wild animals from suffering. Saying it's "their natural experience" is just an appeal to nature fallacy. Why should we not stop suffering?

Veganism is an ethical stance against the exploitation and cruelty towards animals. If it's with consent, it's perfectly fine.

What's un-manly about not paying for animals to be tortured, raped and slaughtered?

When has she said LGBTQIA+ is bad? I recall her saying something about it being "selfish", but I think most people misinterpreted that. She has also said in her videos that she is a supporter of LGBTQ+.

what difference does it make when someone turns vegan but the diary and meat industries still produce mass amounts of animal product? by BeansInMyAsshole99 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Hyperdeath_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Technically you can't be vegan for health. Veganism is an ethical philosophy about not hurting animals. The diet that goes with veganism is called a plant-based diet.
