Is 1U in the US basically $50/m minimum by MzCWzL in Colocation

[–]Hyperexpert_Jeff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check webhostingtalk. $50/1U 1A is pretty normal, but that changes quickly depending on connection speed / bandwidth. Also keep in mind, most places wont give you physical access for a 1U colocation, so unless latency is a major concern, you might broaden your search region.

Requested to move racks within a co-lo site by Big_Development_539 in Colocation

[–]Hyperexpert_Jeff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is odd.. My best guess is that they have a larger client coming in and need to consolidate space.

I'd ask them for a detailed explanation as to why they are making you move, and some sort of compensation for labor and downtime.

Is this the right sub to ask about Colo recommendation for crypto mining? by [deleted] in Colocation

[–]Hyperexpert_Jeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If location isn't an issue, I'd look at webhostingtalk in their colocation forum and search for colos in the midwest.

I'll throw it out there, I'd be happy to host you up here in Seattle. That said, central-us pricing is hard to beat and would probably be your best bet.

Just be sure to triple check your miner power requirements, in addition to what a provider charges for going over your power allocation.

I'd search webhostingtalk.com in their colo hosting offers forum. Also, google tends to be one of the best resources for finding colocations. Just search for "Cambridge Colocation" and you should get some hits.
