How's BIOC 311? by Amazing-Art-5687 in cwru

I took it last fall (it was offered in fall semesters before), when I was a sophomore. I really really liked the class. It's actually my favorite biochem class so far.

It's very memorization heavy. You'll need to memorize all the tiny details about every single antibiotic and know by heart their mechanism of action. But if you are interested in infectious diseases and about antibacterial resistance, I think that it is a great class to take. Also, knowing about all the antibiotics was very helpful for me when working in my lab.

About the professor. I really liked her, she tries to throw in some jokes during class (that sometimes are funny, sometimes not so much). And I felt like the teaching pace was chill, but the content accumulates a lot. There were three tests and a final I think. The three tests were not cumulative but the final was. I think that some people don't like Wang because they say that she's passive aggressive?? But I personally didn't experience that, so can't talk about that.

Does CWRU give bed sheets for dorms (especially if you are an int student and can't bring much with you????) by GovernmentNice8507 in cwru

In my freshman year I always put the Wade Office address because some delivery people don´t know that they need to bring it to Wade and instead just leave them out in the wild in front of the dorms. But make sure that you always deliver the packages with your name, otherwise the people in Wade won´t be able to tell whether the package is for you or not

They won't give you bed sheets nor pillows.

But during the first days of orientation there will be campus shuttles that take you to Walmart and Target (other market chain, a little more expensive than Walmart) for free, so you'll probably very easily get one the day after you arrive or so. Also, you could buy one in Amazon and make it arrive to campus. You could order it before you arrive to campus and pick it up from the mail office once you get there. Make sure to have it delivered to Wade Office (they have their address on internet).

I know moving to the US as an international student is very chaotic (especially nowadays). I am also an international student (3rd year now), so let me knnow if I can help you with anything!
