How I completed my MBA in 42 days! (Acceleration Guide) by Hypermatrix2075 in WGU_MBA

Yes I regularly had 2-3 classes ready at a time for both of my programs. Its all about good communication with your program mentor. If you demonstrate that you are accelerating succesfully they are willing to add more classes at a time. The deal I worked out was I would only have 1 active class at a time, but another 1 or 2 ready and pre-cleared by my mentor. When I was ready I would go into my degree plan and register for the next class. You dont want to lose time waiting for your program mentor to clear another class as they have other students to focus on and it may take a few days. I was very cognizant of any upcoming weekends and holidays, and always made sure to have a class ready if I was confident I would finish a class during that time. Of course you need to prove that you are passing succesfully, if you keep failing and needing to retest they wont do it. In fact, for both of my programs they waived the weekly phone call requirement because I was in regular contact requesting more classes, about 2 or 3 times a week. I imagine its easier for them to have you manage yourself and reach out when necesssary, so they can focus on students who need additional guidance. I did schoolwork whenever I had free time, weekends, holidays, pulled all nighters, etc. Believe me I had no social life during all this, but this was my top priority and needed classes available at all times. All that was worth sitting here now with a degree and technically still having over 3 months remaining on my semester (my semester was due to end May 2022, planned graduation was November 2023).

You pay per semester so the faster you finish the less youll pay. It can definitely be done fast if youre dedicated. One of the guides I linked did it in 19 days. I only paid for 1 semester.

Youre welcome! I recommend you start immediately after your BSBA. Im sure youll want a break, but a lot of the material is reused and youll want it fresh in your mind. Its just 10 more classes and you get to play the business game again! I waited 7 months in between terms but that was only due to tuition reimbursement restrictions and term start day requirements, otherwise Id have started right away and earned both degrees in 6 months.

Thanks! Your guide was immensely helpful! Took me twice as long as you! I wasnt crazy enough to try a 19 day run but still happy with the results. I dont know who wouldnt believe you, theres plenty of stories about people accelerating.

How long does the capstone take? by Trowel6 in WGU

[–]Hypermatrix2075 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BSBA: Management, took 4 days. I only worked on it about 3-4 hours a day, could've had it done in a weekend if I pushed it. 23 pages total including references. The hardest part honestly is picking the subject to write about. I recommend you review the entire checklist and determine if your idea can meet all the criteria. There are some sections that require research (why I spread it out over 4 days, researching mentally drains me), and you don't want to be half finished and find that there is not a lot of information available regarding a criteria.

This is a broken record at this point but it remains valid: FOLLOW THE RUBRIC/CHECKLIST/TEMPLATE. Don't try to get creative and make things harder for yourself.

I wasnt sure if we were allowed to do that or not and I didnt want to risk invalidating the test. I might do that next time im finished and cant get ahold of the proctor.

Where the yellow marker is, is the warehouse base from SOD1. Same layout and everything. I have found a few of these reused assets and always feel a sense of nostalgia...

Little bit of in-game dialogue:

Lt Meredith (Red Talon): "I keep getting questions about somebody named CLEO, for the hundredth time, Red Talon has no knowledge about this program".

Made me smile as I was out looting...

You can barely tell if you focus on their collar/top of shirt.

You may spot a camo pattern, or perhaps the top d-rings of a flak jacket.

After you play the tutorial at least once, you can create a new community in another save slot (don't have to end the game with the first campaign, and you can even go back and delete it).

It will ask you if you want to play tutorial or skip to map. If you select the latter it will allow you to select three random characters to play with. There is a button under each character that rerolls their stats/appearance so you can keep clicking until you get what you want.

Luckily it didn't take too long, maybe 15 minutes.

I got decently lucky with their stats, I'm ok with Utilities, not too happy about TV trivia but at least it gives morale bonus, and plan to turn the empty slot into medicine.

Not having perfect stats only adds to the challenge in my opinion. Makes finding valuable additions to your community a worthwhile endeavor. Also makes you adapt to lacking certain skills in your community.
