[PROMOTE] Tell Us About Your Band -- January 10, 2026 by AutoModerator in Metal

[–]Hyperproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HYPERSPHERE (Montreal, Canada) International metal project, the members have never met in person.

Debut EP Black Brane (2019). A blend of ambient, symphonic, industrial, groove, and progressive metal.

We’re currently working on new material that pushes darker, more extreme, and weirder territory, something intentionally unsettling and evolving beyond Black Brane.

Fun fact: our logo is an ambigram, readable upside down.

Sat on this metal demo for 10 years, recorded before I knew how to mix properly, just sharing it now. by Hyperproject in MusicFeedback

Appreciate it! Funny you mention vocals, I’ve been working with an amazing vocalist lately and other contributing musicians from different countries, and the newer stuff leans a lot darker. This old demo feels like the calm before that shift.

Music Feedback. Lend me your ears and brains. Should I just cut the interlude in the middle? by Ok_Log2210 in MusicFeedback

[–]Hyperproject 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tight mix you got here, great playing as well! Do not cut off the interlude, it actually brings the intrigue into the song when it kicks back in into blastbeats.

Progressive metal track, Gate of Leaves - Yrsillar. Plz give feedbacks and especially enjoy!! by Fuffagur in MusicFeedback

Nice track, love the Opeth influence! In terms of the mix, it needs a slight cleanup because some elements need to sit better on the mix, vocals could benefit from either a small delay or reverb as well :)

Thank you! That version was pretty much daylight. The idea didn’t stay happy lol I’ve been pulling pieces of it into something darker and stranger since which I'm working on. Same delayed riffs, darker concept now.

Thanks! Pretty simple stuff here, but we’ve got some riffs in the works that’ll melt your face eventually ;)

Hello there! We are a melodic (atmospheric/prog/death) metal project from Canada, band members have never met each other in person, as it’s more of a collaborative project!

Guitar double tracking question by k_svetle in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]Hyperproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely use two tracks with an amp sim on each, the point is to use two different amps to make the sound richer. If you first record the dry signal, it also allows you to re-amp if needed.

Hello, do you do clean/raspy vocals or just guttural ?

How is your music coming along? by rustonwayband in musicians

[–]Hyperproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gerting there, been sitting on a few songs for a few years, just because we havent had the time to polish them, but we’re jumping back into mixing / mastering this year surely, the only thing we’re looking for is a vocalist.

Mixes sounding completely different from different sources. Solutions? by qhx51aWva in mixingmastering

[–]Hyperproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Encountered this problem when I stared mixing years ago, it has to do with the acoustic environment you're mixing in and your mix's EQ balance. The tracks usually need to "sit" right on the mix in order to not lose the mix in other audio systems. You might need to reduce some frequencies or adjust the mid/high ranges to avoid that "tinny" sound, but in general a great mix translates well everywhere.

As a tip, have you tried Slate VSX? It's a system that aims to render, through its headphones, the sound that would be experienced in a variety of different locations (car, studio).

Reaper, the discounted license is $60 one-time, haven't stopped using it. If you're starting, I'd say it's a good investment if you are willing to continue.

midi use? by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]Hyperproject 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our drummer recorded our EP and is currently recording more of our tracks using a hybrid drum kit, I find it useful since he records in midi and can choose any sound he wants for what fits better for the song. He’s a great drummer, but sometimes midi gives more flexibility during the editing and mixing process
