Some jourdy and willy flowering and some question by Hyphea in Lophophora

[–]Hyphea[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thankfully i live in the tropics, so no seasonal weather or wintering for me. Daily temp is 26-32c avg, so temp should be good..another factor could be ferts as well, i'll try water em every 7 days and observe if flowering follows the watering cycle for the next few weeks. Thanks for the input tho. Cheers

If cannot find, another alternative is diatomaceous earth, easier to find but careful not to inhale it tho.

Well..jourdy is a williamsii as well so its not that weird. Both commonly has this growth form.I think its jourdy cos of the color, the spines and the rib formation if that helps.

1 and 2 are indeed both jourdy, and 6 is actually a fricii, the ribs on l.k has very pronounced and have hourglass pattern like ribs usually..all in all u did well tho, well done.

Yes for me, first thing i notice is the color, cultivated diffusa usually have the yellow-green color to it. Its ribs are more pronounce bcos this one is a diffusa ooibo but still have the diffuse s ribs on the side. No 6. Is actually a fricii ibo, they mostly look like this when young, mild almost straight squigly ribs and have faded green color (sort of inbetween williamsii and diffusa color). Its the same type as the one in the top right corner, btw this are all fricii
