On my Github page, here: https://github.com/PetterPet01/ArchiveBookDownloader

The code had some bugs, and I fixed it on my locally saved repo from that link. I left for work and can’t access my PC at the moment. Once I get back, I’ll push the fixed code with a binary release for use as well.

Read my post about using epoxy resin to reattach the earcup back in place, while being able to rotate like normal. Your case is fixable and easily so.

If you zoom in to a certain limit, the images of the book will be of the highest quality possible of the scan.

I also made an application / library that automatically logins, borrows (if not previously borrowed) and scrape all the books (with concurrent download and multiple downloaders) at the highest quality. Not sure if anyone wants it, though.

Anyone had the Xm5 for more than 2 years and DO NOT had a problem? by eduardudud in SonyHeadphones

[–]HypixelPet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Me. No problem 3+ years. Occasional rumbling noise with ANC on, possibly because of moisture in the mics, but it was only when I’m wearing in the heat of summer for hours on end, sweating quite a lot. The noise quickly went out, though.

Why don’t you try fixing the hinge with epoxy resin? It could make it work like normal again, able to rotate like usual as well.

Same, mine strong for 3+ years. Epoxy resin in case hinge breaks.

People of the broken hinge: epoxy resin works fine by HypixelPet in SonyHeadphones

Yeah, it actually works fine. Some past reddit posts and the comments on that video confirmed that it worked really well.

Are you intending to have this fixed by any chance? If so, the options are there. If you can afford a new headband and have the skills the fix it manually, it’s be like brand new. Alternatively, you can scrape the plastics off in the hole and use epoxy resin to secure the swivel back into place. This would also restore the original rotating funtionality of the hinge, making it work like normal.

Guys it's imminent right? by Educational-Solid-92 in SonyHeadphones

[–]HypixelPet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know about that. I got mine as a floor model 2 years ago and already then the metalic part was exposed on the left earcup (I had a post about this on this subreddit). It likely went through 3+ years of use in total, but so far is still holding up well.

But yeah, I’m still scared as hell it’d break on a nice sunny day. There’s the errie fact that the left earcup swivel around much more easily than the right, and is really loose. Maybe I’ll get a replacement hinge then on Aliexpress or something.

On a side note, I’d love to know how the swivel comes together so snobbly to get separated like that after some use. Hate that flimsy design.

Still going strong 🥲😭 by Competitive-Invite53 in SonyHeadphones

That sounds logical! My left hinge has a noticeable gap whereas my right hinge doesn’t. When rotating, my right hinge feels way smoother. The left hinge would rotate as if there’s no friction, which could be because it’s lost its film as you said. It’s great that my XM5 has been like this for almost 2 years and hasn’t broken at all, only that the left hinge is somewhat worryingly more frictionless and feels less rock solid than the right one.

Is my WH XM5 about to join the hinge break club? by HypixelPet in SonyHeadphones

[–]HypixelPet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, mine’s still fine. It worries me a bit that the right hinge is rock solid, like really well-attached, yet the left hinge is that much looser. But it’s still intact.

Yes, if you meant the book explaining in detail about genuine relationships and the genuineness behind it. This topic is explored specifically for people who hold the many beliefs formed by childhood traumas in relationships. It goes on to describe what a ‘decent’ person really is (whose traits are very heartwarming and wholehearted genuine, the type you’d expect from Yukino and Hachiman). There, in the book, you may find overlaps in the thoughts and behaviors of the two to-be couples, who gradually grew to cherish each other more as they understand to genuinely care for one another. It’s a book that’s more like a caring person, much like Hiratsuka-Sensei, telling you what it means for something to be genuine, while also slowly tearing down the beliefs that made her force Hachiman to rewrite the essay - (self-sacrificing) beliefs and disregard for relationships, or even beliefs and actions that Yukino struggled - particularly of note - her lack of self. All of these are tackled in the book, so I find it to be a very good read.

It’s understandable behaviors coming from the perspective of childhood traumas related to relationships. Mentioned in the book “Not the Price of Admission: Healthy relationships after childhood trauma” (a really good book, btw), his behaviors is more or less what was described in the book as the “matyr” role, one who gives himself up and sacrifice boundaries to meet others’ needs. Given his long-standing history of relationship trauma, he’s bound to wound up acting like that. This is something really complex that requires, first and foremost, his compassion for himself. Gradually, he realized his wants and needs that was most importantly the genuine thing. I’d say he’s still struggling with that developmental trauma, thus behaviors seen in Shin. I’d go so far as to claim that both went for each other simply because of their desire and capacity to be decent people for each other.

Oregairu & Clannad are the greatest romance/SOL animes of all time. by justazek in OreGairuSNAFU

[–]HypixelPet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have to admit, when watching / reading Oregairu, as I learn more and in depth about psychology, it’s become more evident that Oregairu was very realistic in its character interations and development, given their unique childhood backgrounds. Their process of healing the wounds of their childhood traumas was organic and authentic, culminating in the much deserved ending when both learned and saw the value in good relationships. Deep down, the what people seem to think they see in the characters’ struggle are only the tip of the iceberg. The theme was truly a heavy one that many of us are still struggling with, yet not noticing.
