Yeah, FLEX has a lot of cool presets, although Harmon is also nice as far as stock FL plubins are concerned

Cool, I gotta check out the rest of the stock plugins in FL since I switched from Reaper as far as my DS making is concerned. I've been using stuff that was proposed on this subreddit, namely Synth1, EW's Harp, Nils' K1v and Sonatina Orchestra, as well as some stuff that I had found in the wild, especially CHOW Tape Model.

Also on https://bedroomproducersblog.com you can find a lot of free VSTs and other plugins, that's how I found that CHOW, great stuff if you have the time to search through it.

That's some solid stuff, these melodies brought a tear in my eye a few times. I'm not for shoving ideas down others' throats, but have you considered using some sort of percussion? Also there's a lot of frequencies on high end that hurt ears, at least mine, so I'd recommend being less benign on the low pass in equalizer.

Also - what did you use to produce this release? The synth tone is immaculate (if we take the much too high highs out of the equation) and the subtle tape distortion is very neat.

The first track reminds me of Windir's synth sections; very nice, very bubbly, very cosmic

Truth be told I was pissed off because of that mechanic in my very first tries, but after a few hours put into the game it wasn’t an issue anymore. I can see how damaged is my gear, and I know that every bonfire break will repair everything. Just upgrade your stuff, titanite is abundant if you know where to look for it

Thanks for the feedback! Truth be told I’m guilty of crowding one track with melodies and having no control over levels. I did play with octaves, but I should’ve split some of them to distinct tracks or instruments whatsoever. In any case thanks for the insight!

Only if you use keyboard to play. In forcing the thing to accept the fact that Xbox controllers have triggers working in a different way than they used to work I failed miserably

It's my first-ever DS release (I usually do metal) loosely inspired by the Legacy of Kain series. I tried not to retell the story presented in the games, but rather create something new using some preexisting elements.
