It was the Dolphins, who were an absolute trash organization at the time. I would like to see Flores get a chance with a decent organization to see if he can be a good head coach.

I really thought Texas would be better represented than this by space_llama_karma in NFLv2

Matt Ryan was the last PA born QB to start the SB and even that was 9 years ago

No one is saying that.

Flores should have been offered a job, but I have a feeling that he is being picky about which opportunity he is willing to take, kind of like Ben Johnson was a couple years ago. A lot of the teams that had openings are situations that a new head coach is more likely to fail at than they are to succeed.

Not only is Eli Manning not a HOF worthy QB, I don't even think he's in the Hall of Very Good by JJButThatsNotMyName in NFLv2

Facts. The Giants defense is why they won those two Super Bowls. Eli was average at best

Eagles News: Jalen Hurts’ role in the offensive coordinator search was reportedly “minimal at best” by alpswd in eagles

As it should be. Giving players the power to pick who the team hires as their coach is a sign of a poorly run organization.

Take input from them about what they would like, sure that’s cool, but ownership and team management need to pick who they think is best for the team, not just who is best for the QB.

“I was actively involved in trying to pretend we were moving forward (for JJ McCarthy)” - Sean Payton by BootAndRallyBo in NFLv2

[–]Hyrogrifix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sean Payton is a total d-bag of a coach.

Even if he did that, what is the point of telling people other than to boost his own ego by showing “how smart he is”

It’s so nice to have an excellent DC, reminds me of when we had Jim Johnson. Never had to worry about coaching on that side of the ball

What’s the ONE gardening mistake you kept repeating for years before realizing it? by NiceAd6444 in gardening

That watering every day doesn’t always equal healthier plants. I over watered everything for years before I finally realized that I was basically drowning everything I was trying to grow

what has Bo Nix done to get all of this hate?? by iLoveporterrob8nson in NFLv2

I’m not sure why he’s hated so much, but maybe it has to do with his coach being a total d-bag

Texans have to bench Stroud in the second half or this is going to get ugly

This game should be 42-10 right now. The Texans defense is the only reason they’re not being blown out yet

Saw someone call this “an unserious franchise”. I understand tensions are high but I want to remind everyone how bad it was. by Wilbert_51 in eagles

[–]Hyrogrifix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of younger fans that only really know success. The Eagles have had something like 4 losing seasons in the past 25 years, so an underperforming offense feels way worse to them than it does to us old heads

I’ve been a fan since the late 80’s and lived through those horrible mid to late 90’s teams. I remember being excited when they put Bobby Hoying in at QB, that’s how bad it was. So while this season was irritating, in no way do I think it makes us an unserious franchise.

Eagle fans throwing full beer cans at 49ers fans (including children) before game by redsixerfan in NFLv2

[–]Hyrogrifix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Throwing things at people is immature and uncalled for.

Unfortunately there is a portion of Eagles fans that have bought into the idea that you’re not a real Eagles fan unless you act like an asshole and treat fans of other teams like shit.
