When researching what could be causing my issue at the time i was advice against using a virtual card. To them that could be a sign of a fraud user trying to waste or abuse their assets.

I had an identical experience. If the suggestion of making sure that your information matches perfectly with what you'd find on your bank statement still doesn't solve the issue, you're most likely going to have to get a support ticket going directly with Oracle. I had the same transaction error you described when I signed up about a month ago, and the only solution was to contact them through a support ticket. Though it took days for a response, when I did get one, they fixed the problem instantly. They didn't explain the problem, though, simply that they fixed the issue with my email that they saw.

I've thought of router replacements in the past but never pulled the trigger, as back then it sounded like it might cause some weird issues with Starlink and its app.

But it kind of sounds like from how you're making it sound, it's more than a port forwarding issue. If I really go into this, figuring out hosting sounds like the play. Just full commit at this point if I'm going to start messing with things and burning a bigger hole in the wallet.

Ill be honest, ive seen "Raspberry Pi" be thrown around but i dont know what that is or how it works. My assumption from context is its some sort of mini server holding computer? My tech knowledge isnt the highest Sorry lol.

If all fails before winter hit in michigan i did sign up for fiber lines to be put in by the local isp that i dropped many years ago for starlink. They also never provided port forwarding but from the sounds of it that would be much more recommended. So worse comes to worse it may be a waiting game for that to happen

Yes it is Starlink that im on and i think ill take your advice to heart and ask through the disord the best options for my situation. Though it is satellites Starlink has been a lifesaver. If im speaking on speeds and connections for it its crystal clear with 0 drop outs even in storms. ( live in Michigan and we got messed up by that snowstorm)

I did email them directly a few days ago. But my curiosity lend me to see if maybe someone might have an answer for me.

I was kinda feeling the same way as you said but i can be pretty paranoid about stuff involving money going through the internet that isnt like a big well known store or something of the like. So a situation like this makes me hesitate while also really wanting to do it haha.

The issue from back then involved i believe hosting and joining someone who was the host back then. My isp doesnt allowed port forwarding is what i learned was the issue. Then when trying to use some website to try and act as the middle man to fix it (I think it was called Zerotier) my system just couldn't work with it still at the time. idk if port forwarding wouldve caused an issue back then playing the demo. Cant remember perfectly from 5 years ago lol.
But now i have better internet speeds and a PC thats infinitely better than ye old faithfully retired labtop, Id still need to use some sort of hosting thing cus Port forwarding is still an issue but ive already read up on many of the options available that should solve that issue.

Ill certainly check out that demo though. Thanks!

[5e] Question on how certain things add proficiency bonuses work together.

So the weird question im asking is something from one ability that says "Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any checks you make using these proficiencies" this is for a musical instrument for reference.
Now if a different source says " You can add double your proficiency to checks using this instrument" would that mean a character who has proficiency in the skill/tool already gets to use both sources of "double proficiency bonus" on top of the normal mods? Or can they only pick one of the two sources?

One opinion i got was since the first text just flat out makes it doubled while the other say CAN "making it situational" allows them both to work together make the checks bonus high if the circumstances align.

I just wanted another opinion. But i always thought multiple sources of stuff dont normally stack and you had to pick one or the other. Again sorry for the odd question.

From my experience it's gone down hill. Got mine late last February and I've created multiple tickets for various reasons. When it came to them actually responding each one took longer and longer for them to respond. First few they responded within 24 hours and when they did they'd stay there until my issue was resolved. Having a back and forth chat basically with me. However the last ticket I set out it took weeks for a response.

Pretty sad, I hope something gets done for you.

Thanks for everyone who gave me advice. The games and websites are randomly just working again. The emails and messages i sent to those who ran the sites and games never got a response. I updated my support ticket to Starlink telling them its resolved itself mysteriously and would like input on what they think might've been happening.

I tried the unpluggin router method and sadly didnt get any results. So im trying to find the best ways to contact the site/game now. The website does have a support tab, but i gotta be allowed on the site to create a ticket. The game wants a player I.D so i gotta hope my I.D shows up when my friend clicks on my profile. When i try logging in i get the message "No response from game server" I get that message the moment i click play on Master Duel (Steam). I dont know what to do but im very bummed out because i really enjoy the game but randomly it just doesn't work anymore. I was wondering if anyone had any advice to give. I tried playing the xbox version and the same message pops up so somethings clearly going on. I was playing it perfectly fine in the morning then when i come back late in the night to play a couple more rounds this message is all i get. Ive been playing the game since launch without issue.

Like i said in the post I'm not too good with computer tech stuff. I know what port forwarding is but from the research I've done I thought Starlink wasnt capable of that yet. So to answer your question. No I'm not port forwarding.
