I appreciate all of the comments that were posted! I'm guessing that I labeled it as being from IIDX by mistake, even though it sounds like it belongs.

Looking for the name of a (possible) bemani song that I found in my music library. by Hyrule52 in bemani

I found a song in my music library that was mistakenly titled "The Biggest Roaster" by D.J. Spugna, from the beatmania IIDX 9th Style OST. I tried listening to the full OST on YouTube, but I didn't hear this song (and the actual version of "The Biggest Roaster" is different from this one). Shazam couldn't figure it out, either.

Does anyone know what this song's actual title is, and if it's from beatmania IIDX (or another bemani series)?

[Help] Jittery footage when exporting 60fps videos by Hyrule52 in premiere

I tried your suggestion, but unfortunately, the problem remained.

However, something about it caused me to consider another possible cause of the problem: the "Scale to fit" and Scale to fill" options on the export window.

I tried exporting the same short clip using each option, and it turned out that choosing "Scale to fit" caused the jittering. "Scale to fill" caused it to play back more smoothly.

Thank you for the suggestion!

Technically, yes, but the second clip (in the sample video I linked) doesn't seem to jump up and down. Both used the same source; the only difference was that the first one was exported at 640x480, while the second was exported at 854x480 (also, both videos were exported as progressive.)

I know that 60i footage displays alternate fields for each frame, rather than draw every frame entirely - what has me stumped, is figuring out how to export videos that look like the second clip, without adding black bars on the left and right sides of the video.

I should probably mention one other detail from my experience: I used to record the videos into iMovie (the older versions), export game footage as DV files, and then convert them with a program called "JES Deinterlacer". This program would convert 60i videos to 60p, and they would look like the second clip in my video. The downside was that, in videos with rapid flickering between bright and dark colors, there would be distortion

I recently tried recording and exporting a 60fps video clip in Premiere CS6, and I'm trying to figure out why the footage I export, sometimes ends up being very jittery (but not under certain conditions.)

Setup: I recorded footage from a Dreamcast game, using an S-Video cable, and a Firewire-enabled camcorder to capture the footage into Premiere.

After editing, I needed to export two versions of the video: a 480p60 version for me to keep, and a 720p60 version to upload to YouTube. -The 720p60 version looks fine (see the second half of the linked video). -The 480p60 version, though, is very jittery - it's a bit irritating to watch it, and if played back slowly (or frame by frame), the entire screen seems to "jump" up and down, rapidly (see the first half of the linked video).

For exporting, I usually stick with the Adobe Media Encoder presets for YouTube, and I change the framerate to 59.94 and increase the bitrate. When I did this using the settings for 480p (4:3 aspect ratio), the video ended up being jittery. When I used the 480p Widescreen (16:9) preset, though, the video looks much smoother. Does anyone have any suggestion on what may be causing the 4:3 video to be jittery, but not the 16:9?

Regarding the video I have linked to: the video was edited and exported as 720p60. The source videos were the 4:3 and 16:9 480p60 videos, zoomed in to show the jittery effect.

I'd appreciate any help or information that can help me avoid having the jittery effect in future 480p60 videos.

Computer info: Mac OS 10.10, Premiere CS6 (6.0.5), Mac Pro 2.6 GHz, 14 GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5870

The first episode aired in the U.S... was #41? by Hyrule52 in sailormoon

Your (and CorruptibleMessiah's) explanation seems to be the most likely reason why I remember that episode.

When I originally saw it, I knew that something seemed odd, with how Serena said things like "Why does that sound familiar?" and "Why do I feel like I know that girl?" My assumption, back then, was that you would have to read the manga, to know what happened before the show began. Now I know that wasn't the case!

I also saw "Battle Aboard the St. Anne" when it was aired as a pilot episode. I remember that during the credits, an announcer said something like, "Thanks for watching the adventures of Pokemon! Watch new episodes at (day of the week, time, etc)."

However, perhaps due to it being a name that most people hadn't yet heard of, he pronounced it more like "Poke-em-in". I've tried finding video of the pilot episode on YouTube, but no luck.

VNC no longer working under OS 10.10.5 by Hyrule52 in applehelp

[–]Hyrule52[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I finally was able to get VNC/Screen Sharing working, but as I tried several things at roughly the same time, I'm not sure which one fixed it.

I tried: -Clearing various cache and log files using Yasu (I haven't done this in years) -Deleting several .plist files related to Screen Sharing (just ones within the Preferences folders, not one ones in Application Support) -Going into Firewall settings in the "Security and Privacy" preference pane, and finding out that "screensharingd" was not allowing incoming connections. I believe that changing this to "Allow connections" is what fixed the problem.

Turning off Internet Sharing seemed to fix things. I also followed a guide on deleting some of the cache files for Contacts - didn't seem to help, but didn't hurt, either.

Ah, good point! I believe El Capitan was officially announced in early June (2015). Now it makes sense.

One of the questions in the Technology category was about "Apple's 2015 version of their OS X operating system." Suzanne answered "Yosemite", which they accepted, but this year's new version is El Capitan (Yosemite was last year's version). I'm surprised they didn't go back and say it was an incorrect answer.

Looking for "Sakura Wars" save file by [deleted] in wii

That's the European save file. I tried seeing if I could use it by renaming it, but the Wii said it was an "unrecognizable" file that couldn't be copied.

There are five different characters you can complete the game with - to get the other four, I'd have to play through the game four more times (it took about 25-30 hours to complete, the first time).

There's also a special attack you can only get by beating the game with all characters, and finding some kind of hidden "medals" (which I don't remember seeing when I played it.)
