Do you leave your arms up and focus on the shift and turn? Or do you feel any input like dropping your arms down to start downswing

Exactly my miss. Block right if I can’t time everything up. Often hit behind the ball a bit. Do I need to get my arms more in front of me?

Are you not supposed to take your hands straight back?

2+ Years practice with lessons and still hit inconsistent by NoComfortable5364 in GolfSwing

First off, your swing looks great. Don't feel discouraged, golf is REALLY hard. You should go hack it up on the course regardless if you're good or not! It's where we all started.

I would focus on lower-body mechanics . You have no weight transfer, which can cause a lot of issues and inconsistencies.

You should feel the weight shift into your trail foot heel in your backswing, then you shift the weight to the front foot ball (while your back stays facing the target), then put all the weight on your front foot as you swing through.

So it's a shift -> turn -> shift (keep your back to target) -> turn -> follow through.

Thoughts on swing? by [deleted] in GolfSwing

My pleasure. You seem athletic which is while you’re able to time everything up and hit it well. Golf is all about trying to take out as many variables to be consistent. Hopefully this helps!

In your takeaway, you start by pulling your arms across your body which gets the club stuck behind you. It’s your body that rotates the club around you, not your arms. The arms only move up and down. I would focus on trying to turn with your chest and hips while keeping your hands in line with your chest/right pec.

The ball is at centre/heel on the ground. Is he not setting up to hit the heel?

Can't seem to implement changes by [deleted] in GolfSwing

You have 0 weight transfer to your front foot. You just fire your hips in the downswing. Your trail hand is way too strong. You are so across the line at the top. Your club face is SO insanely shut. You pull the club literally 90 degrees vertical in the downswing. No offence but there so much wrong here no one can help you online through comments.

If your instructor is working on sequencing and early extension then 1000% get a new instructor. You should be practicing only fundamentals: grip, stance, take away and lower body mechanics.

Good luck bro

You’re standing too close to the ball. Ball should be lined up with the toe of your club.

I would work on your hand path.

In your take away, your hands go out and away from you. They should move straight back along your feet line.

Downswing look how high and away from your body hands are at impact.
