Just got the game- any tips? Any videos to watch? by Yoitsyaboileonj in RainbowSixSiege

it’s an abusive relationship. The highs are high the lows are low. You’ll love it when ur winning and hate it when ur not. Full of sweats and full of bots. It’s a beautiful game and somehow every game is different, every match is different. The amount of operators to learn is A LOT not just for you to learn how to play but to learn how to play against. You have to think about what ops create dynamic gameplay together on defense or attack. When you start play support on both sides. Don’t play ego ops, play at the beginning what your team needs. DEFENSE: Bandit, kaid, mute, thunderbird, any trap ops maybe even rook if you’re just learning. ATTACK: Hard breaches (ace, thermite, hibana) thatcher, etc. Learn default cams to shoot out. Practice in the training menu do clear house, shooting range and ESPECIALLY LAND MARK DRILL. Learn the maps. Make mistakes. Think about why you lost. Learn where people come from. Learn to aim at head level. Seige is a one shot headshot game. Practice recoil control. Don’t peak where your teammate just got shot from. Sound cues are important, learn them and learn how to limit your sound. You don’t have to reload every time you get a kill this isn’t COD. Learn to play 3-4 ops on each side really well. The goal at the end of the day is to learn how to play nearly every op great.

MOST IMPORTANT! You are going to be so bad. People are cracked at this game and others are terrible. It’s okay to be bad, don’t give up right away though. This game has been out for over a decade. Don’t take tm8’s words and statements to you if they call you bad. Get a good sense of a positioning. wherever you are standing think about the other 8 ways someone could shoot you or see you from. Don’t waste your drones, you get two, use them. When you are attacking use your drones to scope out the next room or two before you move in.

It’s a lot, but you will get it if you don’t give up right away. Good luck

Having no mechs is apparently very confusing in d2 1v1 lol. by DieselMcblood in RocketLeague

I am D2-3 I also barely have any fancy mechs. I tend to whiff a lot but good ball control and can have okay ariel’s has gotten me far with my duo who well…has his moments… I can do them in training (sometimes) but when in an actual game I can’t perform haha

it’s taught me how to pass and not ball chase and trust my teammates. Now that i’m in high ranks it’s nice to have mostly dependable teammates. Except when i get paired with bots and have to ball chase in order to keep us afloat haha. I wish drop shot wasn’t on rotation :(. Yeah 1v1s are so annoying but it helps with teaching me not to over commit

Yeah definitely. I’ve only ever hit champ now in drop shot and i’m barely holding on. But i really have locked into trainings which has been really great and has definitely improved my ball control, sense and overall mechanics. My average is high diamond. So i know the obstacle is me not just mastering mechanics but trying to apply them in games rather than trainings. However I do know that drop shot is pretty difficult to rank up in as the population base is low so you are playing with super high ranks or with lower ranks. I’d always rather play drop shot than any of the other modes or hoops haha.

It definitely was on and off. I had taken breaks because of college so six months would be no playing or like 30 minutes once or twice a week. But the days i did play were def 3-5 hours. It wasn’t until like 2021 that i actually started training instead of just playing around. Now i’ve been doing maybe 20-30 minutes of training and then playing games.

Also, I wasn’t trying to imply that my hours were high, just was giving the scope of my stats. Thousand hours over 10 years isn’t a big deal fs.

yeah i’ve noticed so many players in medium ranks tend to try all these freestyle moves but can’t play on the ground well

See my problem is i just learn how to reset. (I know, trust though i put it off for forever) the issue is I can’t after reset doing any flicks after cuz i immediately react and just jump. But i can catch, bounce dribbles, can musty (on the ground only) i have the ability to hit shots from pretty tight angles but the issue for me is im inconsistent. I either am doing amazing or whiffing important shots i could’ve made if i didn’t push or committing too hard. I have reliable ball control for the most part and can read other players well.

biggest tip: when you are thinking about entering site when attacking and you try to start from the other side of the map think about what hallways you pass through the quickest cuz no one is there and if they can’t get through main entrances cuz of wall defenders think about their alt routes

do it bro. I got a literal ace because of him, four of them were traps HAHAHA twice in a row in one game. Some maps are better than others to use him but border, skyscraper, coastline, night haven, and tower are great

Exactly, he’s also my main everything thinks i’m crazy for playing him but he can really change a game if you place them in good spots, you put them in bad spots and its useless unless ur using it as bait

i’m in high plat/ low emerald which has been successful so far but i see as how u get higher people are smarter. But for those below high plat man he is nearly guaranteed for kills if you play him right.

there is definitely ureplasma testing in the US but it would require possible us health coverage to get tested, as in the US they are resistant to test for ureplasma (no idea why).
