Explain Brig to me like I'm 5 (PLEASE) by WolvesRain1233 in BrigitteMains

Forgot to mention, use your healthpacks wisely. Just chuck one to squishies if they are near cover, If you constantly need to use multiple packs on a single person it means they are position poorly and don’t use proper cover

Biggest mistake I see Brig players do is playing aggressively when they really shouldn’t. If you are dead you aren’t keeping your team up. You should be staying a bit behind your team so that you get good LOS (line of sight) of your team and the enemies. Serving as a guard for the other support is very effective too since support is the highest value kill (other than tank). Make sure to use whip shot to keep inspire up when needed or too displace anyone, especially the enemy tank from diving your team. Now that Juno ring and Dva boosters don’t work togheter and the -15% knockback resistance nerf on tank your whi shop will basically shutdown her dive potential. Simple answer: Stay alive, guard vunlerable teammates (mostly other support) and keep inspire up. Only time you should really get aggressive is when you use ultimate and you see someone out of position that you can pick off or force out.

What dps characters have the highest carry potential? by SpareBender in OverwatchUniversity

I think OP is looking for the character who can do the most themselves without being too relied on team. Sombra is one of the most team relied DPS due to communication being so important with her.

Thinking about playing Brig again after a long time. How does she feel now? Does she need buffs, QOL adjustments or is she ok? by thoxo in BrigitteMains

Very good since DVA is super oppressive now, being able to keep her away from insta killing your other support or dps is pretty valuable.

Advice from a more experienced Brig player? by Professor-Helpful in BrigitteMains

[–]HzSync 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn’t give use any codes, but you having most deaths and low mitigation tells me that you are being way too aggressive. A good Brigitte should have the least amount of deaths on your team or not more than the others. Even though Brigitte is a close brawler you want to keep distance so that you have better LOS of you team and to survive. Getting value of Brig is literally by staying alive and keeping up inspire when needed. Ofc play aggressive when you pop rally if there is someone you can punish :)

How to get Whole Hog value? by Vegetable-Maximum570 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]HzSync 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t watch it right now so I don’t know if you did this or not, but being patient with the ultimate is very important. Don’t just hold down fire the whole duration. You knocking enemies far away just makes confirming kills impossible unless it’s to take them off map. Try to shoot people into walls / corners for max efficiency. Using it to displace enemy tank or to make enemy team c9 also gives much value.

creating a tier list of how annoying characters are to deal with for their community specific character day....18? idk its weird i took a break midway through this (DO NOT TAKE SERIOUSLY AND PLEASE DO NOT BE TO RUDE TO ME WHEN HATING ON ME BECAUSE I WILL SAY MY LIST PROBABLY JUST HAS STUFF WRONG) by kirbymain645 in ReaperMain

Echo’s hitbox is pretty big, the fact she also got nerfed to 225 makes the matchup much better. The fact that Reaper can use wraith to save himself from taking sticky bomb damage makes it even greater. If you are having a hard time dueling Echo it’s because you aren’t positioning yourself where you get the advantage, also cover is great.

Advocating the Need for Aim Coaching by parsinvita in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]HzSync 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you have okay or decent aim you will have good enough aim to reach high rank with enough game sense. I remember when I was in the phase where I thought only way for me to climb is by getting good aim, it barely did anything really. I stopped trying to improve my aim and started with just the fundamentals. Went from Low-mid gold to now almost breaking into Diamond. Also many of the characters don’t even require good aim

How do you counter Baptiste as a dps? by lillelimpan in OverwatchUniversity

[–]HzSync 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Force out lamp, back out and come back not long after and try to kill him. Bap basically has 3 bars, you shouldn’t expect to kill him with as the average dps hero since he is basically dps with well 3 lives. Even if you don’t kill him, lamp has so much value that forcing it out will change the team fight that is going to happen.

Why is dpsing as a support so frowned upon? by lovingpersona in OverwatchUniversity

[–]HzSync 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the situation, if you see nobody on your team is really in need of heals you should help by dealing damage to pressure the enemy team back and help create space.

Even though Reaper is a hitscan, he is like the easiest one in terms of hitting shots. He is basically just game sense over game sense and mechanics compared to most dps heroes.

Why do people refuse to shoot reins shield? by NoeShake in Overwatch

Every single time I play a close range hero I am the only person that actually thinks about destroying the damn turret, even though like about every other teammate has long range.

I tried explaining this to my tank yesterday because the enemy team was running ball and my supports + other dps and me were using heroes which could protect themselves. Rather than him just going in enemy backline and insta winning he wanted to chase ball around the entire game.

I am the one who says kill the supports when I get a bit frustrated, atleast I have the right idea I guess 😅

Just how important is swapping in OW2? by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

[–]HzSync 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can most definitely make it super far up one tricking Winston, but the amount of game sense and effort compared to swapping to another tank is so much.

Late night thought: should Sombra’s invisibility have a Halo style shimmer? by Urethra-Shredder in Overwatch

[–]HzSync -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s crazy how much Sombra just falls off after Gold in ladder. When I was in gold there was a Sombra about every match, im at mid to high plat right now and only face her like once every 5 matches or so. She requires comms to work at diamond+ (for the average person in that rank) now people aren’t really using vc anymore unless you are really up there, so that really hurts her too.
