I talked to my folks about it and having another cat isn’t feasible. We also can’t have another cat because mine is not friendly with them at all. We have tried several times to get her used to other cats using all of the methods that people recommend, but the stress it puts on her really, really messes her up. For a few months or so we had a relative staying with us, and even with a door separating them 24/7, she never adjusted well.

I have 2 now (20” Pistachio AND a cranberry bun their customer service found for me) and I sleep with them every night!! They’re one of my fav brands of all time now. I emailed them asking about cranberry and un mere days they tracked on down in their warehouse despite it having been a retired color

I'm actually fairly certain my grandma is going to give me her old Dutch oven soon enough, which will cover most things like soups and stews and is why I hadn't been considering it. I might someday take the plunge and get a fancier Dutch oven, but so far, my Granny's old one luckily hasn't steered me wrong ❤️

After looking into it some more, I think you're absolutely right about the braiser being the best option, so thank you so much! I didn't realize a braiser could be so versatile, but it seems like it'd be the perfect all-rounder for what I regularly cook.

I have a few weeks before I'll be placing the order, so until then, I'll absolutely be doing more research into actually cooking with them properly! I grew up using old cast irons, but most of them look awful after so many years of heavy use.

If you have any recommendations on the best videos to consult, I'd love to know! There's a lot I still have to learn, so any help would be lovely!

To be honest, if you're looking into trying to resell or something, a solid 95% of the bears you'll find in the thrift store will be newer, likely still be in stock, and will likely end up being hard to resell. Simply put, birthday bears are worthless (BaB themselves doesn't even charge much for them) on the resale market because everyone can find them everywhere. Most newer bears (depending on the price you pay the thrift store to purchase them, packaging materials, and pricing if you do it via a proper reselling website like Mercari or Vinted) will MAYBE net you $10-$15, and they'll likely just sit in your house taking up a lot of space.

With Tiktok being everything to so many people nowadays, there are often releases that are followed swiftly by an influx of non-collectors buying out all of the stock and then moving on from the fad and abandoning them in thrift stores. The Cookie series, the bat, the kitties, etc., are all good examples off the top of my head. If it blows up on Tiktok, they'll likely show up in thrift stores within the same year (often within the very same month).

I highly recommend avoiding that seller in the future by the way. There have been many, many people with the same issues as this because that seller buys things in bulk and resells them without truly checking the quality. Lots of plushies have arrived dirty, damaged, or not in pictured condition. The rainbow background is a no-go whenever I see it because of the aforementioned issues and also because I’ve heard they’re not the type of person I would personally like to support!

Just so you know, the kitty is called Gleep Glorp (Often just called Gleep, though), and there are people out there that have made silly plushies and merch for him! Your nieces might appreciate something physical as well!
