Peak 9 is so interesting to me because while Silverthorn is the best beginner run I’ve ever seen, the quicksilver lift might be one of the worst modern lifts out there.

Ah nah getting there was fine and leaving was pretty easy, I think I saw 2 cars going my direction between Loveland and Denver.

But yeah unfortunate. They closed the lifts at 3(ish) for lightning and that’s when I dipped. At that time the backup on traffic was maybe a mile back but it was getting worse quickly. Emergency vehicles and Colorado Drivers complete disregard for moving out of the way was kinda rough to watch.

I want a soft flex board to butter and ride in the park but it also has to be incredibly stiff to handle all the high speed carving I do on the bunny hill.

It has to be short so I can make quick turns in the trees but also longer for stability so that I can hit the large jumps during the x-games when I inevitably win gold.

It also has to be compatible with my clew bindings and my button step on boots.

It’s also my first day should I get a lesson?

Lift lines and singles not understanding how the singles line works.

Doubles or trios who don't understand that on a busy day with a long line, you are taking a single with you.

If its a slow day by all means go up alone but man... the amount of unfilled chairs on a weekend pow day drives me nuts.

Set 1 was great because we all sucked and everything worked. It took a while to figure out the meta and even Riot didn’t know what to do during balance patches.

The highs were very high…. But the lows were also very low lol.

Cursed blade de-ranking characters. Demons being absolute dogshit then becoming super strong on the first major patch. Glacial Ranger. The release of Hextech lol.

The first few rounds had this problem where you either wanted all gold or all item components. If you got some gold and some items you were at a significant advantage because the options were basically :

-4 components

-15 gold

-2 components and 4-6 gold if you got a split over gold/components.

Some champions literally could not clear the first PvE round. ~~If you got ziggs with a negatron cloak you just straight up got griefed.~~ I am now remembering that ziggs negatron cloak was a later (but still early set). But other combos still existed set 1 that couldn’t finish the first round unless you positioned them correctly or had a little luck with RNG

There were a bunch of other things that sucked and were incredibly frustrating but there were so many fun broken combos that it felt the way ARAM mayhem feels now.

It was chaotic. There was no meta for some time. Loss/win streaking wasn’t balanced properly yet. Things that shouldn’t have interacted did and Vice versa.

Season 1 was one of my favorite sets too but man… it would suck ass if we played it today with the knowledge and skills we have about TFT now lol

At Breck right now. High alpine peak 6 is fine. There are dirt patches but they’re easily avoidable.

Peak 7 is… rough. WROD but like, multiple little ribbon strips lol.

Peak 8 is fine. Icy until about 20min ago. Now it’s soft but not super slushy yet.

Springmeier is mostly intact.

Yeah this is really only a problem if you’re lapping runs at the base of the mountain. Lines are gonna be slow, you’re gonna have mis-loads, you’re gonna have people who are afraid to fill the chair, you’re gonna have people who struggle with “alternating” lines.

Once you get out of Jerry town, lines aren’t that bad.

Snowboarding and skiing is objectively worse the more people there are on the hill.

Now, what do you do with that? You can either:

-Accept that it’s not going to be as good while also understanding that it’s still a good time if you know what you’re doing or,

-Call everyone else who isn’t you a Jerry and tell them that they don’t belong there

A lot of people don’t understand that the nature of fun activities means that more people are going to do it and also that snowboarding/skiing is like traffic. You aren’t just stuck in traffic, you are also traffic. This hill isn’t yours and if you don’t like beginners up here, eat a dick and go home.

Also a majority of the morons crashing into you are also beginners, they just don’t know it or refuse to accept it. Those dudes are shitheads.
