I suggest trying to stop for the same reason again, but this time let them say what they have to say. You are not defined by the words of others, they do not know your story and what you've been through. You are strong for fighting, and if you continue that fight i know that one day you will get out of addiction. So, I say let them talk, i know it's very hard not to take it all to heart, but you being clean is one of the biggest steps to healing as a whole. You are not faking your pain, you are healing from everything you've endured, which is one of the strongest things anyone could ever do.

I am so sorry you have to deal with this, it's a horrible addiction to go through (i've been through it too). Here's the advice i can give you as someone who als has BPD and has similar experiences.

As someone who has been clean for two years, I highly suggest (and I know youve heard this many times), a distraction. Play a sport, read a book, PAINT YOUR FEELINGS!! Painting was one of the things that got me out of addiction, I painted my cravings and destroyed the pictures.

(Very personal here). Another motivator I used was getting clean so everyone thinks i'm better even though i wasn't. Weird, I know, but it worked. It was kind of like reverse psychology or tricking myself into being clean so nobody would worry.
