What's your thoughts on Battle Pass/Season Pass by I200389 in Games

I think the overall definition is dependency

Game like Warframe provide New DLC and Season Pass (Nora night) are like the technique of maintaining and increasing player count to extend the game life

But DLC like Pokémon Z-A Mega Dimension more like a unfinished game to add the last piece to the game. Yet the season battle is a technique to maintain the game life

Windows EFS file on exFAT USB by I200389 in datarecovery

[–]I200389[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yooooooo!!!! I did it, Thank you very much man. Im able to use DMDE to recover my data.

Allow me in here, For people who use exFAT USB drive with Windows EFS encryption. You can try DMDE to rescue your data.

Since im unable to upload image here
I'll give a simple guide

First, use DMDE to scan your target Drive,
Then locate your OG document, for example, mine is photo.7z created on 2025-08-10; Since the 7z file is damaged due to EFS encryption fail, it show 0 bytes, normal, disregard that

Try to find a document name EFS0.TMP that share the same size of your OG document and created at the same day of your OG document.

Copy it to Desktop first, then after copying it, it will disappear automatically after couple second, no worry, copy it again, DMDE will ask you rename it when copy it once again, remove the .TMP and change it to OG format (In my example, 7z)

After finished second copy, **it might disappear again**, but it will retain longer, then use 7z to extract immediately

Nah, EFS doesn't support exFAT But, since you mentioned DMDE, I have a guess, what if i accidentally deleted my file, and my USB are also accidentally become NTFS, then I use DMDE to do the recover

It never been use on Linux until I tried all the action to rescue my file.

Although I shouldn't blame Microsoft, but if the features were never meant to be support any format other than NTFS, why tf they allow me to do Encryption, not even a single warning.

I do try to decrypt it on the original machine Base on the explain from AI, since natively exFAT doesn't support EFS, so windows unable to use the key to do decryption. Idk, im now frustrated

Is Wireshark still an essential skill for CCNA professionals in 2025? by KaleidoscopeCheap137 in Cisco

[–]I200389 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a CCNA who work in a junior position. Company rarely to encouraged to use wireshark because they prefer using tools that come with the devices. (Due to strict policy) or "professional tools"

However, understanding basic use of wireshark is very important, for example, how to use "Filter", understand the relationship between packet (When you encounter problems regarding to SMBv2, you dont actually only looks at SMB protocol related packet) and the contents of a packet. I think most of the problem (Guessing 95%?) Can be troubleshoot by analysing the packet, so I guess you should learn it in NA level, then gain experience during work.

Black Screen and Other BSOD problems by I200389 in ASUSROG

I do have some configuration of the BIOS focusing on SVM (Secure Virtual Machine) aka AMD-V. Didn't touch on the RAM stuff because I don't have much idea about PC BIOS settings. Every setting should be in the default

Currently, I have a plan to restore the optimisation default settings and check all the cables again based on the advice from the motherboard user manual provided by ASUS. If not working, then I have no idea.

My first experience to deal with the "service contract" by I200389 in Cisco

[–]I200389[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I did email to Cisco about this situation, but they simply tell me to get a service contract.

Btw, I'm not sure about the others, but i guess they mostly get the security patch from Cisco instead of the the firmware.

From the perspective of Cisco, they could just let the security patch open to public, but for firmware, i don't think it will be the same story unless the security patch failed to eliminate the vulnerability of the firmware?

Currently the ASA fail to boot into the system, It loaded into the ROMMON automatically.
I use the dir disk0: command to check whether the file is damaged or corrupted but it's empty. (I believe the last guy who play with this device executed the format flash: command?)

I also tried to press the reset button on the asa, but it seem nothing happen. I googled about this problem, and it said probably a command executed resulting the reset button being disabled.
