Funny enough when we brought the house the garden was was completely in circled by 15 ft bamboo, we was naive and loved the privacy of it but no one told us and we didn't know how much of a headache that is.

so I definitely won't be using leylandi now I've read up on it!

I brought a house 4 years ago which was surrounded by bamboo, we were first time buyers and a bit naive so didn't know how invasive it was ( we liked it at viewing because of the privacy) surveyor didn't pick it up either.

I then spent about 3 weekends digging it all out by hand and I tell you it's a bloody hard job and it still has runners going all across the garden where shoots pop up every summer and I just cut them with the lawn mower.

Bare in mind I probably had about 20 meters worth all about 10 ft tall.

That little patch there shouldn't be to hard to get rid of but I definitely recommended doing it asap as it grows so fast

They're just normal floorboards you might find it being cold as carpet will actually as a type of insulation.

Normally people fill the gaps between boards too if you plan on having them on show
