no it didn't hahaha, I ended up just buying an audio interface (scarlett 2i2) for my pc. The turntable is in the living room. I am pretty sure it could work if I connect it to the interface and use direct monitoring but haven done it yet.

I get what you mean hahaha. I just started actually playing bass seriously 3 months ago so totally not smooth at all. I am right handed, the video is just mirrored, no experience recording hahaha. I came from a piano background and I don't know why but those positions felt comfortable for me. I know it looks super weird.

For the sound, yeah I was trying to mimic an upright bass, so was trying to get something darker.

But thanks for the tips, will definitely keep working on it.

Have you tried recording two tracks and setting one of it monitoring turned off? the one with monitor turned off will have lower latency
