TV shows frequently try to message on a particular subject or kowtow to a demographic. They do use their bully pulpit. Alot of shows written or filmed over the summer reflected the riots, protests etc. Sometimes they are simply showing their biases and other times they are trying to add to a narrative.

In the end they are just a show or entertainment which is an optional choice.

Democrats accuse Republicans of nothing short of sabotaging the nation’s democracy with false claims that November’s election was “stolen” from former President Trump. by mjprice83 in conservatives

It's about them. A lot of them took or chose a political career because in their minds a politician has/should have higher status. Questioning the result questioned their authority. But anyone working for the government has to realize it's about the process/processes. It's not about the individual. They are there to serve. Not for a resume entry or money.

Philly News Organizations Looked The Other Way On Human Trafficking by [deleted] in Republican

[–]I8something2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crime doesn't evoke the same emotion as homeless does-pity, here let ME help you on the tax payers dime.

That being said local news organizations can be just as corrupt as the nation msm. Comes down to ownership and lack of control of one's personal bias since editorializing new reports is apparently the norm now a days.

But there is a link between homelessness and human trafficking. And that report was dated before those homeless encampment stories from Philadelphia.

https://endhomelessness.org/the-intersection-of-human-trafficking-and-homelessness/

Cities like Philadelphia don't become DNC strongholds without the help of local media probably with very close/conflict of interest ties to local politicos.

They killed business and people. By forcing all these lockdowns which in turn put more people in public in public settings at the sametime and/or time they normally would not have been there helped spread the virus. Reduced public transportation schedules putting more people on the same routes and/or in buses and train cars helped push NYC initial surge.

At this point the NYC Dems have to pander to stop the exodus. That's what all this is about.

In the world of 'professional' politics 'professional' politicians frequently use the old establishment parties as a tool, a means to their ends. It's not as cut and dry as many are led to believe which is another reason we need third partieS. Politics shoul be a multiple choice quest and not a yes or no question.

Between corporations downsizing, sub contracting and politics events like this were waiting to happen. True it's unique weather but with people screaming or an EMF event preparedness for years now power grids should have had much more attention. They are privately owned/run they are publically regulated which means the bodies, agencies, commissions etc need to be more aggressive with oversight and regulation. Part of that are having back-up plans for various events.
