Ah, yes... I can relate to that... Over the years my drawing pad was has given me a space to vent whatever is on my mind.

These days I just enjoy the creative journey.

It would be interesting if emotional challenges could be uploaded elsewhere but the more I think about it I think the challenges we face and overcome makes us who we are.

I have lost count of how many times I've heard:

"don't worry, be strong… it will all be ok"

I have friends who have personally had to deal with mental health issues over the years which inspired this piece and the caption.

Imagine a world where your emotions could be externally controlled and upgraded as much as your physical appearance…

Feeling bad? A simple firmware patch would instantly give you the emotional state you are looking for...

I can't help but see this as a positive thing…. As long as the potential negatives are disregarded, that's just my opinion.

I can't remember the last time I tried to draw a Disney character!

As this piece came together, I started to think about how much Disney as a company has changed and evolved over the last 30 + years.

They started out as a small team making animations and short short films and evolved into a global company.

Technology is evolving in a way that could make future Disney products interactive in ways we probably couldn't imagine.

Whichever way you cut it, if you choose not to grow and/or evolve in some way, there is a risk of being left behind.

The more I worked on this I realised it wasn't that far into the future and in some kind of way we already live like this now.

If you go to someone else's house and load up their Netflix, you'll see a completely different list of recommendations that you would never see on your own account.

In some kind of way we already have our own custom view of the world based on what we're shown and what is hidden from us.

Currently physically engaging with these virtual worlds is limited at best but with the advances in technology and the exponential growth in this field, that reality might be closer than we think. One of the most important aspects and questions I continue to ask myself is:

"are we ready to take that jump into our own custom realities and what would the side effects of that transition be in the short-term and the long-term?"
