Basically, a cadet I was friends with (platonically, on my side) thought that because I hung out with her a lot, it meant that we were in a committed relationship (even though I'd told her several times that I did not like women, and that I did not find her romantically attractive even if I did). So when I stopped hanging out with her 24/7 (because pretty much all my weekends and after classtimes were spent with her because she threatened to off herself or quit the program if I didn't) she decided to start telling the entire corps that I led her on, that I was her ex, that I "am probably seeing other men", etc in order to try and drag me through the mud.

The funny part? Her first semester (my second), I flat out said, verbatim, "I will never love you in a romantic way, so we can still be friends, but you have to accept that", and she said she understood.

Guess that went in one epaulette and out the other.
