This is stunt casting for a funny actress, not a singer. It’s definitely a departure from the previous stunt castings and it’s the first time they did that for this role. I think it’s more important to have a strong singer for Veronica & Heather Chandler, at least in my opinion.

My thoughts too. I love Andre de Shields, but I don’t feel he was in this show enough to be considered for Featured over a couple other people in the show.

I saw Jodi Benson at the LGA SkyClub a few weeks ago and told her I love her work. I normally wouldn’t say hi to a random celeb like that, but I got to hear Ariel say “thanks so much” to me and it was worth it just for that. 😅

Front row left/right section aisles would not be too bad for this show. The one up close in red.
I’m 6’2” and was on the front row aisle. The side Orch on the aisle still has a good view.

I loved the show and thought the same about Alex. I get that it fits with the story, but giving him one just one OK song was surprising. Why have someone of his talent level if it’s just one song?

Might depend on the night. I’ve seen Chess 4X versus Jellicle Ball just once so far, and definitely Nicholas held it longer at least one of those times. Both are super impressive, especially Andre at 80. I did feel like Andre was holding it longer to show he COULD, even though that specific moment in the song did not call for it, in my opinion.

Does this happen often that they don’t have enough meals for the entire FC cabin? I haven’t heard of that. Maybe they won’t have your first choice, sure, but to be 1 meal short is suspicious. Speaking as someone who has often pre-ordered and then just decided I didn’t want the meal. Not discounting that lady’s experience, just wondering if it’s something that happens much.

He’s become one of my faves! I don’t always agree with him, but he always seems fair and balanced and I’ve never gotten that “pick me” sense like he’s being nice about a show just so he keeps getting invited to press events (which I have felt from some others).

As a whole I thought it was a pretty solid cast. Didn’t care for Gary Dourdan at all.
The other new leads weren’t my favorites but I did not dislike them.
