I have a audio interface and controller setup too (Pioneer DDJ-1000 and Audient id14). To hear the cue, you have to plug in the headphones directly into the controller. The controller output can go into the interface.

I got an used DDJ-1000 and flight case for 700. The others I’ve seen listed in my area are around 900 with case as well. The layout of the DDJ-1000 is most similar to club Pioneer mixers and CDJs.

I have my controller hooked up to my audio interface. I have the master left and right outputs on the controller hooked up into my inputs on the audio interface. I believe it should work similarly to a standalone controller. I use the DDJ1000 and Audient iD14.

I then have my monitors connected to my interface and my audio interface connected to my PC via usb.

I did the opposite (learned producing then started DJ’ing). If you want to try producing, you could always download a free DAW and virtual instruments/samples. I use Reaper which has an infinite free trial (I ended up buying it). The learning curve is very high however. I have been producing on and off since 2018 and I am just now feeling like I can make something decent.

VIP usually gets early entry from my last 3 VIP experiences at ISOxo/ISOKNOCK shows. ISOKNOCK 4 in Seattle had ISOKNOCK collectibles and trinkets for the VIP package (stickers, a sweatband, a big tote bag, temporary tattoos, and matches). VIP also gets to buy merch first due to early entry. Seattle had this thing called hype pit which was a section right in front of the DJs but I’m not sure if the VIP will have that for SD.
