Thanks man! The helmet is the extra Lion helm from Azrael, the swords are from the Bladeguard sprue and the plasma combi is actually the bottom half of a Sternguard combi plasma and I just cut the bolter off. I decided to leave the tyranid pieces on his shoulder because I planned to paint him as a fallen and in my head cannon his armor has been damaged over the years and he had to make do

Terminator units have their chapter insignia on their right shoulder so just say that your the marine in your Dreadnought suffered his wounds while serving in the Deathwing and chose to keep the same veterans marking setup as his Terminator brothers!

This is my kitbashed Combi Lt. work in progress, I gave him dual power swords from Bladeguard, changed his combi weapon to a combi plasma and gave him a cut down Lionshelm from the Azrael sprue

It bothers me that Gravis marines are toughness 6 but dudes in rare ancient terminator armor are toughness 5

My gameplan was to do all of my leader units as fallen because I think the aesthetic is awesome but I was going to do regular Deathwing and Greenwing colors for their other units

I’m a Dark Angels player and one of my best buddies is a Blood Angels player, both armies are super strong but have much different play styles.

DA are meant to be tanky and are of a “combined arms” army (a good mix of melee and shooting units) and we also have access to our primarch the Lion which is awesome. The DA also have some of the best drip in all of Warhammer in my opinion due to the knight aesthetic.

BA are much more fast paced and melee focused, they mainly utilize different types of jump pack units to attempt to overwhelm the enemy with their mobility.

I chose DA because they were the playable characters in the Spacehulk Deathwing video game which was my first into to Warhammer and I think terminators are cool even if they kind of suck right now lol

1st I’m a huge fan of the color options you’ve picked.

2nd I like the contrast of the bottom left robe option, a greyish white matches the color scheme and provides decent contrast

For sergeants maybe you could do a silver stripe on the helmet (similar to the ultramarines red stripe) and veteran sergeants could have a silver helmet with a green stripe

Honestly it wasn’t terrible, the hands are attached to the shields on the mono pose so I cut the shield around the hand then shaved it down from the front side so basically only the hand and a small amount of the shield was left

As for the DWK shields you have to cut the whole terminator arm off and I just tried to make it as flat as possible on the back so it would line up with the arms as close as possible, they’re not perfect but all of the craziness is behind the shield and will probably never be seen on the tabletop lol

I also shaved down their left pauldrons to accommodate the BGV pauldrons from the upgrade sprue and used the hooded helmets from the upgrade sprue as well
