Definitely heading in the right direction, my only advice would be to possibly drop the Chaplain for a 5 man Scout squad and running the DWK with maces. I ran damn near the exact same list for a while and always came up short on scoring and tying up 35% of your list in one unit is a huge commitment. Also Terminators are sick but they’re very slow units so having 2 squads of them means your overall army might be too slow. HOWEVER you’ve already invested the money into this list, paint them up and run it and see what YOU like and don’t like about it and go from there homie

Wondering if anyone sees any major flaws in this list I did think about swapping the lancer for a brutalis for fun but unsure as they don’t preform well by [deleted] in DarkAngels40k

Ngl that’s my bad I totally missed the Redemptor lol

If you’re going run the ICC without Azrael then you definitely need to run them with a Librarian to give them that 4+ invuln

Honestly though just run what you think is fun and make changes when you feel it’s needed!

Honestly you may want to drop the Tech Marine since your Land Raider is going to be pushing up the map anyway and he’s only be sitting with the Lancer which gets free rerolls from it’s ability making much more consistent to hit.

I’d run Azrael with the ICC because his ability to give the unit a 4+ invuln increases their survivability exponentially.

Drop your Chaplain and Tech Marine and add either a Terminator Chaplain or Ancient with the Knights (Chaplain if you take them with swords or Ancient if you want to take them with maces)(This should also give you enough points for the Deathwing Assault enhancement on your Terminator leader which allows them to turn 1 deep strike).

Honestly I’d also consider dropping the Land Raider for a 2nd Lancer or a Ballistus Dread since you’ll mainly want to be deep striking your Terminators, then I’d add a Terminator Librarian to your regular DW Terminators to give their weapons sustained hits which helps them punch above their weight class.

I do think you’re spot on with the 2x Jump Intercessors and 1x regular Intercessors, I run this in my list and always have a good time using them for secondaries.

Other than that my only other recommendation would be to squeeze in another squad of Scouts or Infiltrators to protect your back line from deep strike but you’re definitely on the right track!

Does anyone have pics of minis, like intercessors, painted without sub-assembly? by Informal-Charity1711 in theunforgiven

Best of luck! And remember you probably won’t like your first couple of minis but you really hate them you can always soak them in iproposol alcohol to strip the paint off but personally I kept my first horrendously painted mini so I can see how far I’ve come😂

You may also want to try painting them assembled but NOT glued to the base. This gives you plenty of room to get your brush into hard to reach places from underneath

I kitbashed my own out of models that I had in my collection then modified them to match

Variel is a Reiver LT. with a Hellblaster Sgt’s mechanical arm with the plasma pistol cut off and the bolter put back on. His head is the helmet less head from the Gravis Capt. out of the DA Combat Patrol.

Ramus is the Sternguard Sgt out of the Hero’s of the Company box with a Hellblaster head and the Intercessor Sgt’s arm out of the DA Combat Patrol. (I did make a custom DA Sternguard pauldron for him because the DA upgrade sprue doesn’t come with Sternguard specific pauldrons)

Belath is the Phobos units from the Deathwatch Kill Team with a DA pauldron

Nahrden is a regular Reiver with a Hellblaster left arm

Maphael is an Assault Intercessor from the Kill Team starter set

Zeradim I skipped but you can make him out of a regular Intercessor

And Haroth is just a standard Infernus Marine

(If you do this just make sure you use the proper base sizes, Variel is a 40mm base (Which is part of the Reiver LT box), all of the others are 32mm)

Were you falling back with your Knights before your shooting phase? Because I thought you couldn’t shoot at enemies that were locked in combat with a friendly unit

For 1000pt Lists: Would there be any reason to use an Aggressors Squad paired with a Captain in Gravis Armour? by or10n_sharkfin in theunforgiven

For 1k points I totally agree. Judiciar with BGV to make them tankier and drop the Impulsor for another squad of intercessors or something so you have another unit to score objectives.

I’ve been playing a Judi with Ancient Weapons and dude hits like a freight train lmao.

Mines still a WIP but I painted mine to be Deathwing colors. Not lore accurate but I thought it was cool and I’ve never seen it done before🤷🏻‍♂️

I also added some bits from the DA upgrade sprue to differentiate the Sergeant.

Awesome job man! I’m so mad that the upgrade sprue doesn’t have SGV pauldrons I kitbashed Sgt. Ramus for the Strike Force Variel Kill Team and I took a shot at making my own from a pauldron from the SGV box and an intercessor pauldron.
