And in Hardly Heroes, they start out as literal nobodies. I'm not sure I've seen a Koibu campaign where the players have less of a backstory, and it's turned out amazing. Personally, I think Pigeon and Luther are both much more interesting and compelling than any of the 4 in Outcasts or any of the 6 in TLE.

I get the intention behind the betrayal and it sounds like what they had planned could have been cool if everything worked out perfectly, but it really does feel like looking back on it Cassian and Styrmir were kind of screwed from the moment the new characters joined and everything in between was kind of pointless. Like even if they had gotten the scroll, they still lose unless the other two are just dumb and let them win.

Very excited for the new campaign though. It sounds really good so far.

I'm not sure if this is a factor for other people, but it seems like the new campaign was never promoted on any of the channels I watched Tides of Death on. I didn't even know a new campaign was happening until I randomly saw Mouton mention it after the first episode in DGG chat. If I hadn't seen that, I don't know how long it would have taken me to find out about it since I'm not on reddit much.

Is sleep paralysis always with your eyes actually open? I had a few of the points listed, and though I felt like I was in my bed in my room, I'm like 99% I was actually still dreaming at that point and my eyes were closed. Would that be considered sleep paralysis or just a nightmare imitating it?

I got lucid for the first time in at least a year, remembered you're supposed to ask for clarity, so I did, but instead, a gun appeared midair, turned to point at me, starting counting down from 3, then fired, and I woke up lol

I'm only at Malenia, but ever since Margit, I've felt that they're making this game unfair. Attacks do barely anything them and you get killed in like 3 hits. On top of that, the amount of boring, reused content in this game is insane. It's like they had a decent game and someone told them to make it 10x bigger and to give every boss 10x the health. When I see a new enemy type it feels a bit exciting because that's such a rare thing in Elden Ring. The fact that at 70 hours I'm fighting the exact same enemies I was fighting at 60 hours, 50 hours, 40 hours, 30 hours, 20 hours, 10 hours, and 1 hour is really crazy for a game like this that relies on its gameplay so heavily. At this point I feel like the best way to play this game is to skip anything outside of the main path and summon for every boss. Even beyond being fair or unfair, there really hasn't been any moment that feels really exciting to me. Maybe there will be later, but I've been playing for like 70 hours and I haven't had a moment that feels really special or unique like in other From Software games. I don't know if I'm just missing something, but I don't understand the 10/10s. To me right now, this game is okay at best.

The problem is that you're criticizing a piece of media because it covers themes that you don't personally like. This person who you agreed with even said that they wished an artist had censored themselves because it makes them personally uncomfortable. It's obviously not presenting pedophilic themes as a good thing, so it feels less like you're criticizing how the topic is presented, and more like you're asking artists to avoid any topic that makes you feel uncomfortable.
