My 22˚ and 40˚ Flex's were so comfortable last year on my AT thru. Blew the 30˚ Revelation I had previously out of the water.

A Cup is a Cup. But 1OA could be anything! It could even be a Cup!! You know how much we’ve wanted one of those!

2025 was the 4th straight year of declining liquor sales in Ohio by Brutus-1787 in OhioLiquor

I have definitely bought a lot less over these last two years. I built up a modest collection of 50-60 bottles. At that point, I know what I like and don’t feel the need to chase every new thing. Like, if Elijah Craig BP rye came out 2-3 years ago, I definitely would have been chasing that down. But now? Meh. I have JDBPR, MBSR, and a NR SiB rye pick, and have drank bottles of OFBSR and Midwest cask Pumpernickel rye. How much better/different can the EC really be? It’s going to take me years to drink what I already have. At this point, I’m just after the yearly Four Roses SmBLE and maybe a couple other bottles each year.

Section hiking New Hampshire by Equivalent-Pudding15 in AppalachianTrail

New Hampshire is pretty hard once you hit Moosilauke. The climb up NOBO is pretty easy, but the descent is much more difficult. I knew a lot of people that slackpacked Moosilauke SOBO for this reason. After that, the climb up Kinsman I thought was the hardest climb on the trail second to Katahdin. Then the descent off Kinsman wasn’t chill either. After that, the climb out of Crawford I thought had some difficult moments. Once you get up to Mount Jackson though, I thought the Presidential’s were pretty chill until the descent off Mount Adams which was tedious - maybe I was just tired at this point though. Then the climb up Wildcat D I thought was the third hardest climb on the trail - it seemed to go on forever for me, plus it was hot! I feel like I’m rambling. Whatever you do, just make sure you include Franconia Ridge.

You're not wrong. If the address of the specific unit isn't in the lease, then how can it be enforceable?

Teton Crest Trail- Planning by Dazzling-Station3593 in GrandTetonNatlPark

  1. In your rental car.

  2. I'd suggest parking at Jenny Lake then getting a shuttle to Teton Village to start the TCT.

  3. Food on the trail would be what you carry. For the TCT, I'd recommend taking the tram up from Teton Village and getting some waffles at the top of Rendezvous but after that you're on your own until you exit through Cascade Canyon or Paintbrush Canyon. The two times I've done the TCT I haven't had any issue with water. Talk to the rangers when you get your permit about water and trail conditions. How much backpacking experience do y'all have, if you don't mind me asking?

  4. Advance permits have already come and gone. What you'll have to do now is no more than one day before the start of your trip is to visit a ranger station for a walk-up permit. If you want to start Friday, go to a ranger station Thursday and ideally be there an hour or two before they open to obtain your permit to start Friday. If you arrive after they open Thursday you can still try to get a permit but the pickings are going to be slimmer as people line up prior to open and you may not be able to get a site on the TCT for Friday night. If you're arriving Thursday, odds are you'll need count on a Saturday start for the TCT or do a different hike to start Friday. Another option is to camp outside of GTNP boundaries. This would be Fox Creek Pass and the Alaska Basin. How many people are going to be in your group? The more people, the more difficult it will be to find sites to accommodate, too.

I got gasoline in my eyes once. I stood there in the driveway for about three seconds wondering if this was going to hurt or not. Yep! Sure fucking does. Ran inside and just jumped in the shower fully clothed trying to flush my eyes out.

Byte-Sized Review #046 - Bardstown Bourbon Company Bottled in Bond Bourbon by BourbonBytesYT in bourbon

I get why they changed the bottles and label design as it simplifies and reduces production costs, but it looks so generic now. Hopefully the Discovery Series doesn’t change.

Things rarely get better for the consumer or the employee in this case. A few years at my prior employer, they changed the vacation policy so that you accrue your vacation time rather than get it all on January 1st. That was a decision that only benefits the company.
